Great Gutter Guards for homes in heavily wooded areas!
I purchased the 5" sample to see how the guard was assembled and to verify it would work on my gutters with a metal roof. I was impressed with the quality of the construction and material used....better than a much more expensive brand which used plastic for the underlying mesh support versus the aluminum used in the WaterlockDIY product. The result is a thinner and stronger guard. I'm glad I bought the sample as I had improperly measured the gutter and determined that the 6" guard was the correct size. I purchased 180' of the 6" guards and have installed the first 100' with no issues. They snap into place and are screwed down using the supplied color matched self tapping screws. There were enough screws supplied to allow 5 per panel. Installation of the 100' took about six hours without any additional help (The house is single story so no high work was required...just a lot of ladder moving and up/down climbing). This is a great product at a very reasonable price. Installation is straight forward. Since I live in an area with many pine, fir and deciduous trees and copious rainfall, the micro mesh will keep the gutters clean of debris and eliminate the need of scooping out the needles and leaves multiple times each year. I am extremely satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it for homes that have surrounding fir and pine trees.

Never clean your gutters again with the perfect DIY gutter guard!
This review is for the Waterlock DIY 5” Leaf Protection Stainless Steel mesh White Aluminum Gutter Covers. I have lots of trees and debris that fills my gutters each spring and fall. Getting up and cleaning the gutters was such a pain so I started looking into DIY gutter guard solutions. The first image in my review shows the initial samples I purchased from Waterlock. I only ordered the white and black aluminum guards without the micromesh because I didn't want to spend the money. However, Waterlock included their mesh sample for free. So I performed my tests of debris, water, etc on all of them to see what worked best. As shown, the micromesh was the superior product so that's what I went with, even though it was a bit more money. After all, I only wanted to install gutter guards once. After ordering, the guards arrived lightning fast in clearly marked boxes. Padding was sufficient for most of the shipment (I ordered 170'). There were some scratches as shown in the second image, but they were minor. I made sure to use those guards in places that weren't seen (or as spares for the mesh). The high quality paint matched my gutter color perfectly. Installation was actually a breeze! These guards fit most of my gutters perfectly. For the sections that sagged or were slightly warped, bending the gutters was easy to fit then into place. The provided screws worked great and the quantity provided was more than enough for installation. I even had enough screws to secure the mesh seams to ensure there were no gaps. I use some of the mesh from unused guards as shown in my images. The installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. The corner cuts actually matched up perfectly. I would recommend Offset Straight-cutting Aviation Snips and an Aluminum Square to ensure a perfect 45 degree cut. The guards performed well during heavy rain storms. There was hardly any overflow for light to moderate rain. However, during HEAVY rain, there was some runoff but I think that's because my gutters filled up due to the amount of rain. I don't think any gutter could handle what we were getting that day. If the guards ever did get material on them (shingle dust, leafs, etc), a simple leaf blower removes the material with no effort. Between the price, easy of installation, and performance, I would say these are the best guards for the money. I highly recommend them!

Great quality, well designed gutter guard
Ordered a sample of this and was very impressed with the quality of this product and ordered more to do my entire house. I used about 130 ft and it took me about a day and a half to install. Install was very easy, probably took me longer than most because im very picky. I used a 7/32 drill bit and predrilled holes which made the zip screws go in nice and clean. It comes in 4 foot sections and I put a zip screw about every foot. Probably overkill but is very snug in the gutter. They have been on for about two weeks and had a 2 inch rainstorm with no issues, debris blows right off the top. Does exactly what I needed and hopefully they last a long time. More expensive than other products, but I feel its well spent. Very happy with the purchase.

Excellent product well designed and manufactured
I was tired of having to constantly clean my gutters even going so far this year of hiring a company to come and preform the service. I have a 2-story house with the gutters on one side being over 24 ft from the ground. This sent me down the rabbit hole to find a solution. I watched a lot of YouTube and searched Amazon looking at reviews. One of the reviews I read was from an engineering discussion the pro and cons of various systems. I too am an engineer so I evaluate and research most purchases with an eye for design, durability and function. I made the investment of time and cost as I purchased several samples to evaluate on my own. I am in Texas and I have Arizona Ash trees that put out a ton of seedpods in the fall and another tree with small leaves. If I had known what I know now I would have gotten rid of the Arizona Ash trees when they were small, but it is too late for that now. In addition, since I am in Texas I do not have to deal with ice dams so take that into consideration. Regardless, all of this debris ends up in my gutters clogging the downspouts which have to be cleaned by spring when the rains come. After evaluating the samples I got, by putting them on a low section of gutters using the leaves and seedpods with a water hose my conclusion was the Waterlock DIY system from Art of Gutters was the best for my situation. I will emphasize this there are multiple systems out there, plus several companies trying to sell you stuff. You need evaluate your roof pitch, gutters and tree foliage to determine the best solution. A great reference is the YouTube channel called “Gutter Guards Direct” the guy does a great job of explaining each system and conducts real world tests on his own house. One point made in the videos is that no matter how good the design is, if the installation of the gutters and the gutter guards are not correct your experience will be greatly affected. I 100% agree with this. I did contact a few gutter companies and costs were above what I intended, plus I knew I could at least do as good or better as anyone else. On to my experience, with Waterlock DIY. • Overall, the design and construction are excellent. The Aluminum is a good gauge and micro mesh was the right size for me. I have 5-inch gutters. • The DIY version was easy to install and comes with self-driving screws that match the color. • Depending on your gutters you will have to make some modification as needed to get every section to fit. I did as you will discovery most gutters are poorly installed and you will have to work around those issues. I would suggest getting a good pair of straight cut tin snips. Plus, gloves not to thick so you can feel the screws. I use red Milwaukee gloves exclusively and they worked great. • Because of my need to prevent anything from getting in my gutters I made a few modifications. I intentionally increased the overlap between each section to 1/2 inch by cutting this back before install. Then I would use a couple of screws to secure the overlap between sections. • On exterior corners I would cut off the micro mesh from drop pieces and make a cover to fill gaps at the 45 and hold down with screws. • At the start and end of runs I would make an overlap and screw down the straight edge this way nothing can get under the ends. Be aware this will leave exposed screws but no one really notices from the ground plus my goal is to keep stuff out of the gutters. • Finally, and most important, work as safely as possible. I purchased a ladder stabilizer (Werner), No Bull end caps for the stabilizer, I recommend both. I had a helper with me most of the time and I worked slowly and intentionally. Take your time and you will get the job done. Last comment: The gutter guards have been on a few weeks and so far the results are good. We have had a few rains, no noticeable overrun of water and the leave once dry just blow off.

Great Product
I find that the Waterlock DIY gutter guards are a great product. I am so glad that I found these. They arrived on time and in excellent condition. There were plenty of self-tapping screws to complete the entire project. I purchased the five inch guards and they were a perfect fit. Cleaning my gutters for the last time felt fantastic. I followed the instructions and found them simple to install! I finished the project just in time for monsoon season. I has rained a couple of times after installation and they worked flawlessly. I have read that rain water runs over the side of the gutter with other brands. That is not the case with the Waterlock DIY. The rain ran into the gutter as intended. They are an excellent value for the money. My neighbor had the national brand install about 35 feet of gutters for over $975.00. The base of their gutters are PVC, not aluminum. I have so much faith in this product that I will be purchasing additional gutters for future projects.

YAY...no more clogged gutters!
The overall experience was great. The ease of ordering an 11" sample piece to ensure color and quality, and quickly following up with a 148' order. The quality of the product is great and easy to install. Orders were received within just a couple of days which allowed me to quickly begin my project, just before my leaves fell. Installation was simple and took about 3 hours to complete. I highly recommend this DIY method as it saved me big $$$. Product is functioning perfectly, it's keeping the tiniest of leaves, pine needles, stems, 'helicopters', etc. out of the gutter. No more going up on a ladder multiple times a year.

Great Product
Quality Product & Great Design. I purchased 348' of Waterlock DIY gutter guards to assist with my mission of keeping pine needles out of my gutters as shown in before and after photos. The 4' sections hold firm in the K style gutter and are very secure once the front edge screws are in place. For the sections that needed to be trimmed for outside corner miter or cut to proper length, I was concerned about the stainless steel mesh remaining in place. Come to find out, the section cut very easy, I used a metal cutting wheel on a miter saw, and no issues at all with the mesh as it held firmly in place. More than enough metal screws were supplied, and installation went very smoothly.

No more gutter cleaning!
I received 2 boxes(128’) in 3 days as promised in perfect condition. Installation was completed by a contractor ( I’m older and don’t do ladders very well) quickly and easily. This product is very well made and fits my gutters perfectly! Let the rain and leaves come….. I’m ready! I intend to follow up at al a later date with a complete review.
