A great toner, you just gotta keep shaking it because all of the powder goes to the bottom. Would be better if the container was glass, but thats alright.

As a woman of “a certain age” I guess it’s time to start taking care of what I’ve been given! I have pretty good skin overall, especially for an old lady of 54, but since I never wear makeup and avoid the sun like a good little vampire I think I’ve just been blessed with good genes! I’ve finally started a skincare routine and quickly realized I should be using a toner. The products I used in the 80s and 90s had me prepared for a certain stinging/burning sensation but that seems to be a thing of the past! One of the best things about using a toner with a cotton ball is confirming that my skin is truly clean. A little goes a long way and, while it’s a bit strongly-scented for the face, it DOES absorb quickly (which seems to mean the smell goes away, too). The scent is very earthy and, in my opinion, quite pleasant. I haven’t really noticed a difference between the “blended/shaken” toner vs. when it’s “separated,” it seems to work fine for me either way. I don’t wear foundation so I can’t speak to how it layers with makeup. It’s hard to speak to the effectiveness because skincare is so subjective and takes time in general - there are just so many (personal) variables! If you're already using the active ingredient(s), it’s hard to notice a difference in the way you look/feel but, at the same time, it usually takes a while for any real benefits to show up if it’s new to you/your system. ✅Likes: ○ First and foremost, this formula is surprisingly *almost* FUNGAL ACNE safe which is weirdly SUPER hard to find once you start looking through your skincare cabinet... "Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil" Ester ○ I don't usually like tea tree but now that I learned it helps as an antibacterial and antifungal I'm into it!! TBA on how well it performs though, pleasant smell though at least! And most importantly, I didn't get any stinging or irritating sensations! Even when I got it in my eye 😂 not usually what I experience with tea trea formulas so I'm happy! ○ Consistency nice so far, hydrating but not overly oily or too thin. Just right. ❌Dislikes: ● As mentioned before, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is the only big downfall for me. However, TBA on if it's enough to give me issues though ● Dispenser is fine but not great- very basic for toners to have a pop+drip lid but certainly not my favorite or most convenient to use.

Having had overwhelming good results from Korean skincare brands, I was excited to try this toner. It is unusual, in that it may be used in two ways, and I am quite impressed! First off, I love that it contains tea tree leaf extract, as tea tree products are amongst my favourites. It is a generous quantity for the price, and I found the formulation to be exceptionally gentle and refreshing on my skin. When the bottle is shaken and the contents fully combined, the resulting toner dries quickly and leaves no oily residue after soaking in. It works well for me even under makeup. I apply it unshaken at night, as that leaves the rice starch at the bottom of the bottle and gives me an extra touch of the oils for additional hydration. It's a clever concept and works very well in this formulation. My skin seems to love this product and I am planning to reorder once this bottle is nearing empty. Highly recommended!

This is an interesting and unique toner. It has a pronounced tea tree scent and a good, water-like consistency. There’s rice starch in it and much of it collects in the bottom of the bottle. Apparently, you use it without mixing if you don’t have oil problems, and mix it up if you do want more oil control. I find it very hard to mix it though and no matter how much shaking I do, a lot of the starch stays in the bottom. I don’t have oily skin, so I’ve mostly used it without shaking and it feels good, as long as you like the scent of tea tree. The major problem with this bottle is that it leaks really bad, and not just in transit. No matter how hard I screw the cap on, it leaks from under the cap when I pour it into my hand. If you really like tea tree and are into this rice starch idea, then this one might be worth trying out. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere.

This toner is one of the most mild tea tree products that I have used, so it's good for sensitive skin that still gets oily. This is especially appropriate in the summer months for someone like me who has combination oily skin. The rice starch does have some mattifying effect in the T-zone area. You just have to shake the bottle really well every time before you use it. The bottle is quite large and will last a while. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the box has a tamper-proof seal but the actual product bottle is not sealed, which is odd. I would prefer if the product bottle was hygienically sealed instead of the box.
