Still reading this, and enjoying it.I find it very amusing, interesting and informative.And cheap, at half the price !

This was a good read as long as you don’t take it to seriously, some parts of it were very good , the French presidents being one of the. This best part for me was about Sophie Scholl and the White Rose movement,true heroes.

Interesting stories from a wide range of ages, told with humour and imagination. With chapters the same length as a cup of coffee. great to dip into.

Masses of info. Funny, bunged full of laughter. Will forget most of it, which is a shame, but I loved the book while it lasted, and the odd bit of history may pop into my head occasionally.

Unreadable. A disjointed collection of unrelated factoids.

Very funny a really good read

Great historians tell some great stories.Not all hit the mark, but its fun and engaging. Cant believe how po-faced and worthy some of the negative reviews are.

A book that is a fun approach to history, covering everything from French Presidents to gods and goddesses. I loved the wide ranging topics, and the interesting presentation kept me turning pages once I started. Now I’m definitely going to give the podcast a listen, and I believe there’s another book to look up too! Highly recommended for those who like their historical facts on the quirky side.
