Q: Where are they made? The answer should not be "Cowhide" !

From what I can tell in the USA I don't have them with me here to check. On a side note, I think "Cowhide" was a great answer lol.

Q: are these insulated for winter?

I can wear these gloves during winter (when it's cold) with warming comfort. Just make sure you size them so they are not tight on your hands. You need some dead air space in them to realize warmth. Of course they have to stay dry. If they get wet, the gloves will make your hands colder than no gloves at all.

Q: How do you tell amazon that they are sending the wrong gloves? twice i received item 1164xx instead of 1168xl.

Q: Why are the size medium's almost $8 more than the size l, xl, or xxl ?

I'd guess it was due to supply and demand. If people were buying more medium- sized gloves, the company that's selling the gloves must have had a surplus of the larger pairs of gloves they needed to sell.
