The item I received is a pale blue/green color rather than the white/creamy color shown in the photo. Is it the same product?

Many people have said in the review they received the green colored wax, not white/cream color like pictured. I received the green one as well... and it's junk. It doesn't spread on bisque smoothly at all and I literally ruined a brush after each use. Watering it down doesn't work either. If you haven't opened it, I highly recommend you return it for a refund.

Can I use this product to paint silk?

I used it with pottery and the wax evaporated with heat. Unsure about your desired effect but is it liquid and will run on the silk however it does dry quickly on a porous surface. I hope this helps. TK
