I live in Spain and was looking for a trustworthy brand so I purchased this zojirushi. (For reference it is an American plug but they provide a converter) Unfortunately the product wouldn't work for me and I had some difficulties but the seller was very helpful throughout the process! In the end I had to return the product but the seller provided great service throughout :)

I have owned this rice cooker for about three years now and use it often to cook many different types of rice. It is easy to use, clean and always makes perfect rice with no water mess you might find with cheaper products. Yes, it is not cheap but it cooks rice to perfection with no fuss and I expect it to last, unlike so many things these days. I love the design and the functionality of this device. And yes, I even love the little songs it plays. I lived in several countries in Asia and cook a lot of Asian cuisine. Whether I cook Thai jasmine, basmati, short grain Japanese or other rice, it comes out as it should. You just need to adjust water ratios slightly depending on the rice. The machine must be forgiving because I have yet to have any rice come out badly. One happy discovery that I made is that this machine can even cook Thai sticky rice perfectly on the sweet mode when using a reduced water ratio, and without soaking!. Before this, the only way that worked was steaming rice soaked for several hours. If you cook rice regularly, you will not be disappointed with this rice cooker. One of the only products I have purchased that is actually perfect.
