Large Silicone Number 40 Cake Tin Mould 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary Birthday 4 0

Before I used this product (I brought a 4 and 0 for a birthday) I carefully read through the comments to see what worked best for me. I followed the advice to lightly grease the moulds (cooking/baking spray would be great) on my practice cake but despite waiting until the cake was at room temperature before removing, I still had some issues with the bottom. I solved this be drawing around the moulds on baking paper, cutting that out and using it to line the bottom of the moulds. The results were perfect and the transfer was flawless! The moulds come with recipes too which are pretty accurate. I played around with the proportions a bit and made a lovely red velvet cake! In summary, great purchase, just do your research on how to use it first!

Great quality product. Very easy to use, Cake just popped out. You do get a recipe included but I used my own as it is tried & tested. I was a bit nervous using this first time as not used silicon before but was pleasantly surprised.

The only thing I disliked was the way these had been packaged. I bought the 4 and 0 together. They had been squashed and bundled tightly together into a ball, tightly bound with sellotape and sent in an envelope. I cut the tape off as soon as they were delivered but unfortunately there was a ridge left in the 4. Although to some extent the cake mix pushed that out a little as it expanded, it still impacted the cake and I had to shave some off. I used cake release prior to filling and the cakes turned out fine after leaving for 15 minutes. I put the filled cake mold on a pre- heated flat baking tray prior to it going into the oven. I experimented by using a 4 egg vanilla Madeira cake recipe for the 4 and used the chocolate cake recipe provided by the manufacturer for the 0 and both came out fine although, as expected the chocolate cake recipe was slightly deeper and more evenly spread (as it was looser- there is a lot of milk. I also substituted the plain flour and baking powder for self-raising flour). Next time I would be happy to use this recipe for both. The molds cleaned fine. Overall, very happy except for the packaging.

These are just what I was looking for I'm baking a cake for my friends surprise birthday party. They are a nice size and will make a decent size cake. Not had chance to use them yet but seem okay will add more when tested.

These arrived super quick and are a good size for birthday cake. Easy to use but I did struggle to release the number 4 cake- maybe I need to grease them more. Came out great though easy to clean and store.

This worked perfectly. The recipe that came with the mounds was great. I wouldn't normally put milk in a sponge but the cake tasted delicious! No issues whatsoever turning it out. I greased it and used lining paper at the bottom.

keine Probleme mit den Formen. hggf. etwas zu gross, da ich keine ablagemöglichkeit hatte. musste dann ein backbrett benutzen. da es aber im Haus blieb war es möglich.
