Wizamet Super Iridium Double Edge Razor Blades Pack of 50

Here's my criteria when picking out razor blades: how sharp they are, how smooth they are, and how consistent they are from blade to blade. Since I only use a blade once, twice, maybe three times, how many shaves I can get out of a blade is not on my radar. Cost is relative to the user; I'm over sixty with over a dozen razors, hundreds of blades, and a lot of experience. Cost isn’t a factor to me, but a great shave is. Only BBS (Baby Butt Smooth) shaves for me. If I had to pick only three safety razors to use, they would be Feather, Astra Superior Platinum, and Wizamet Super Iridium. Feather because they are the sharpest blades made. I tend to use Feather on a two-day growth beard with an open-comb razor. Unless you are an experienced shaver, I caution you to take your time, keep the razor's angle consistent, and use smooth strokes with a light touch with a pressure on the skin that works well for you. Or your face will have nicks, cuts, weeps, and burns. But it will be close. Astra is my go-to blade. By that, I mean I can throw them into any razor, and I know they will be smooth and comfortable, and not so sharp that they will be prone to nicks. They're the perfect balance between sharpness and comfort. It usually takes me three passes to get a BBS shave. Now, my Wizamet Super Iridiums. From experience, I make the sharpness comparable to top brands like Feather. What sets the Wizamets apart is that they are a smooth shave, like an Astra. A very smooth shave, I have regularly gotten BBS shaves with these guys in two passes or less - sometimes in one pass with touch-up. Very impressive. I reserve the use of Iridiums in my favorite moderate-shave open combs. On a regular five shaves a week, I'd say I'd use Feathers 1 day, Astras 3 days, and Wizamet Super Iridium Blades 2 days. Verdict: They are exceptionally sharp blades, giving smooth shaves that are close and comfortable.

Moderately priced blade but well worth the money. These gave me the best shave in my Rex Konsul razor than anything else that ived tried. They were so smooth that I couldn't even tell that I was shaving because there was no tugging at all. I liked them so much that I placed a second order while the Russian made version is still available.

Everyone that is a long time user of double edge razor blades and researches which are the sharpest blades would find that one brand always in the top three is "Polsilver". Wizamet blades are the same blades in different packaging. These blades ARE sharp, and have good durability. As long as I do the proper prep before applying the lather, I get six to eight smooth shaves from each blade. That's a great value, plus they're recyclable and won't enter the waste stream to be dumped.

I probably shouldn't share this review because I would like the Wizamet Super Iridium blades to remain a deep, dark secret. But the fact is that this is one of my favorite blades, easily in my Top Five, along with Gillette Perma-Sharps and Nacets and Astra Superior Platinums and the Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge. These aren't always available so I grab 'em when I can. Highly rated for smoothness and sharpness. Just a terrific double edge razor blade.

Historically, this brand of blades was made in Poland. Now, with Gillette/P&G owning Wizamet, production has moved to Russia. The blades are still the same high quality as before. Recommended.

Obviously, now discontinued due to Gillette leaving their PPI plant in Russia. Fantastic blades, great sharpness, very smooth, and good durability, but really expensive for the performance.

Very sharp and they last me 4-6 shaves no problem. Very smooth blades as well. Try them.

Habe eine empfindliche Haut und starken Bartwuchs. Meine beste Kombi mit dem Rockwell #5 war bisher Kai. Aber ich halte diese Klinge für etwas besser. Extrem scharf und sanft zugleich. Verwende Dachs Rasierseife und pre shave Öl. Klinge wird nur 1x benutzt. Klare Testempfehlung.

Bueno a veces hablar de cuchillas de afeitar es tan sugetivo como hablar de perfumes,cada uno lo ve diferente,en mi caso particular he de decir ,que después de haber probado muchas cuchillas en busca de las mias, he de deciros que estás SI SON LAS MIAS!!!suaves muy efectiva,es un placer afeitarse con ella,tengo una maquinilla guillette antigua,regalo de un amigo,del 1917,que es una maravilla y con esa va super genial y una mulher r41 ,esa que una bestia,afeitar suave y muy eficazmente,estoy absolutamente contento,le saco tres afeitados no me arriego a más,porque me dejan la cara muy bien ,sin irritaciones,no puedo más que hablar maravillas y cuando se me acaben compraré más,dicen que son caras,pero tras mi experiencia si me cuesta algún euro más que otro ,por el resultado que dan,se paga,espero que mi opinión os ayude!!!

These blades are superb and give a close smooth comfortable reduced irritation shave. I have a few left with the R imprint on them, these have the TM designation, which I read on forums are the newer version. I tried to find the older version, but couldn't find any reliable sites, so I settled for these and am very happy with them. I highly recommend these blades.
