Peloton Tread: Exactly what I needed
Initial reaction: This treadmill is exactly what I was looking for: solid, professional quality construction, simple and obvious controls, and great programming to make training more productive and enjoyable. Compared to consumer-grade treadmills, this Peloton Tread is like a Harley versus a Honda: both might get you where you need to go, but the Peleton will do it with more style and grace. The speed and incline controls are simple and straightforward, and very precise: control your speed in .1 mph increments, incline .1% at a time. The oversize high-res video screen's viewing angle can be adjusted easily and stays in place where you put it - if you've ever wrestled with one that was fixed in place, or 1990's era resolution, or flopped around, you know how much that matters. The deck feels solid and belt movement is smooth, although I will need a lot more miles to know whether that's true at speed and distance. My Amazon delivery included setup and placement - a good idea since the assembled unit weighs 400+ pounds. It took the delivery and assembly team about an hour to put it together, test and calibrate, and make sure everything worked as expected. This is a significant purchase, and you can buy treadmills for less money... But the old adage "you get what you pay for" is clearly a factor with this Peloton Tread. It's a good size - not small, but space-efficient; it's quiet; and sturdy enough that I expect years of good performance. Highly recommended. 90 day update: no corrections to post, everything written above is still good, and I am very happy with the Tread purchase. I have noticed a couple things that might be worth sharing; they're probably not going to change your decision, but hopefully will inspire Peloton to further improve the product: - I'm a "miles, not metric" old person - but the Peloton engineers think meters matter more than miles... So laps while running are counted in meters and over the course of a workout, the "miles" counter is accurate but doesn't sync with the graphic depiction of laps on a track. Easily fixed, but sloppy programming as is. - I appreciate the ability to "cast" the treadmill screen to the (non-existent) TV in my workout space; I would appreciate the ability to cast from my phone TO the treadmill screen even more. Why? Because I like to watch sporting events while I'm working out, but Peloton doesn't (yet) support integration of any of the league pass apps I use, so I am forced to use an iPad for this content. Not a terrible hardship but an unnecessary waste of the otherwise great screen that would be even more useful if it could be used to watch MY preferred content. I will post a further update if and when Peloton delivers these software updates...

Great product!
So far it’s been a great product! Seamlessly connected with our current Peloton subscription we use with our bike. Very thorough instructions that also include very easy to follow videos they leave QR codes to in the instruction manuals. The treadmill doesn’t fold, but is small enough to save space. It also seems much quieter than other models we tested.

Easy Delivery and install
I generally don’t write reviews, but realizing how much I actually read and rely on them (especially for larger ticket items that I don’t want to return) I felt I needed to take a few minutes to write up my experience so far. A little payback for everyone else helping me on other items in the past. First thing first, delivery and set-up were easy. Mainly because I didn't have to do it. I scheduled a time slot, tracked the truck in real-time through Amazon so I knew when they were arriving, a big truck pulled up, two guys carried it into my house and installed it. Simple as that. And I’m glad they did and not me, because this is not a lightweight machine. The box just for the tread said it was 275 pounds. But it is solid. It doesn’t wobble or shake at any speed that I’ve tried. I was up and running within 30 minutes. Every part of it so far is high quality. The screen is huge and is a touchscreen so it is really easy to use and navigate while running or walking. And it has access to lots of TV content as well as the classes. I had my 81 year old mom try it out and she was excited she could watch Netflix while she went for a walk. One of my surprise favorite parts are the controls for the speed and incline. They are nobs on the handrails and not up and down buttons. You just lightly turn them to increase of decrease. I played the Peloton game built into the system called Lanebreak to practice using them and they are pretty intuitive to use and much easier than the buttons I’ve used in the past for other treadmills or ellipticals. All in all I am a big fan so far. I will try and send update as I use more of the classes.

Problem after 1 month of use and peloton support told me to return it
Very disappointed with Peloton. I have been a peloton bike owner for over 5 years. Decided to purchased before Black Friday through amazon. The delivery was fine. It refused to turn on after Jan 2nd. No Lock Screen, the dials on the side stayed dark. I called peloton support and they cannot find me on their system. I sent proof of purchase from amazon. They sent replacement power u it and a tech out in a week. Tech came and said the replacement did not fix the problem and he needs to replace a different part and I should get a call in 3 hours to confirm appt. 3 days later I got no call. I called them today. I got challenged again on my purchase (they have no record of my previous call and tech visit). The customer support said I need to show her the warranty policy.., it was not in the title of this Amazon item. I gave to dig up the warranty from the OnePeloton web site to show her what she should know. Then she turned around saying since the tech came out once. They do not want to send another or more parts and asked me to return since it is within the return period. I have to initiate this return on Amazon. Luckily it is within the return period. It will be very sad if I am stuck a not working tread and peloton refused to honor the 1-year warranty. But this is supposed to be the ‘honeymoon’ period. I got this tread since n Nov 22. Today is Jan 14. Now it leaves me upset and i don’t think i will buy peloton again. To all, beware of your warranty not supported by peloton if you buy it here.
