Shepherds' Huts & Living Vans

we are about to restore a partly restored shepherds hut and I bought this book for my wife( whose hut it is)to give us some ideas as to how to finish the inside to make it comfortable but not lose its character if we use it as a spare bedroom and somewhere for the grand children to go eventually when they stay as they get older. and they/we need some peace?.So the book is very informative has some excellent photography and will definitely give newcomers to shepherds hut restoration confidence and ideas to carry out work on their own huts.The first book I bought had some of the leaves uncut and then the leaves started parting company with the binding but having returned it with a refund I bought a new one and it seems fine.

This book is a specialised read for people who love extreme camping or maybe glamping ! if you like to build something different and special like a renovated shepherds hut then this book is a great place to find ideas etc.its got great illustrations and my partner requested it for a birthday present and He loves it.

My go to book for comfort reading. Great pictures, great text, great inspiration...building my own now, not one of those horribly posh ones, but a rustic one, just for me! Do you know, if you want plans for a hut you have to pay mega bucks? This book cannot provide plans and is not a DIY hut book, but gives enough good inspirational original hut photos for me to design my own.

This is a very well researched book, and I recommend anyone embarking on buying or building a shepherd's hut would benefit learning about their history. Lots of nice photographs.

I’m obsessed with shepherds huts. I want to live in one! Ever since I stayed in a shepherds hut in England in 2017 and this book was in it, I’ve had it on my wish list. Finally I own it! It’s a beautiful little book and has so much history, information, and photos! I would definitely recommend if you are interested in or love shepherds huts as I do! ❤️

This is such a wonderful history of these early dwellings. The many pictures give a nice view into what they were like and how we might be able to make an updated version for contemporary use. I would still want to have the shape and humbleness of a shepherd's hut evident in my creation.
