I bought this in a mad dash after a different new headlamp broke immediately. I prayed this model would be vastly superior...and it is! My need for a long-reaching headlamp was dire. I live in the woods and have a group of coyotes that come down at night to get at my (large!) dogs. My old fairly powerful flashlight could pick up the reflections of the coyotes' eyes but that's all it could see. I couldn't see how many coys were in the pack nor track their movement towards us at all. This headlamp is super powerful and the high bright setting is beyond perfect for my needs. It allows me to sweep the yard and woods generally on the wide high beam, and the distance it carries on the narrow spotlight beam is remarkable. I can see all the way to our wooded back ridge which gives me loads of time to strategize if the coys come calling. I love that it takes not two, but three 2200 mah 18650 Li-ion batteries; while this makes the headlamp a bit heavier overall, it pays off in the light's power and long run time. As so many others have mentioned, the lights have a high beam and low beam. Each of those can run in the wide flood and the spotlight mode and a flashing strobe mode. I found it very easy to change modes by pressing the button above the head even with heavy gloves on. I usually only use the high beam, but the low beam is absolutely great for non-coyote night use. The spotlight's so powerful I'm hoping it may scare the coyotes off just by virtue of it's intensity! This unit is a bit bulkier and heavier than the other one I tried. The straps adjust the size easily but due to the weight I prefer to wear it over a hood or cap on my head; it's more comfortable. The fantastic telescoping flood to spotlight modes are achieved by moving the head in or out; it works very well but is a bit stiff. I use two hands to zoom the head as a result. All the other functions - the strobe mode, and the white & blue/red lights on the back of the unit - work perfectly; I just don't need them for my purpose. All in all I'm very pleased with this headlamp and feel WAY more secure in the woods at night with it. It kicks serious butt!

This 3 cell headlamp far exceeds many of the other 3 cell LED Headlamps purchased here on Amazon. The light will deliver full brightness continuously for 2 - 3 hours. The longest I have used the light without interruption is 3 hours on full brightness and the battery level read 50% while still producing full brightness. For the price point this light performs well. Another feature I found is the headlamp will charge on a high power USB-C charger. I have experience other LED Headlamps that would only accept a charge from low voltage / 5 volt USB chargers - This is a plus for this headlamp. Another convenient feature is the battery display - displays 100% when the batter has reached full charge. UPDATE: I purchased two of these headlamps at the same time - One quit working after two weeks of use. After requesting a replacement a new headlamp arrived within a week. While this headlamp arrived in a product box it was obvious the box had been opened and repacked. Aside from that, the replacement headlamp works as expected.

Great light, very bright and very little charging time and long life, very impressed

My last headlamp recently died on me and I use one for all sorts stuff like if I have to do something outside at night, going to the beach looking for shark teeth/shells, crafting, etc. and I was on the hunt for a new one that was bright and came across this one and I'm so glad I ordered it. I am impressed! It passed my backyard test and now I can't wait to go back to the beach and use it to hunt for shells and teeth at night time! It's also super nice quality and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I will say it is heavier than my old one but the battery pack in the back balances out the weight and perfectly distributes everything in my opinion. I love this head lamp already and look forward to using it in the future!

This is the best headband flashlight I ever bought. After an entire shift it’s still bright. It never runs out of power. That’s why I bought two of them.

Just received it, took it on overnight camping trip. The light is more than bright enough to walk through thick dark woods (with mountain lions) and have excellent visibility. I didn’t realize how useful the hands-free control would be. I went out to gather more firewood in the dark, not wanting to blind the rest of the campers as I returned to camp. It just made it a little simpler to turn the light on and off. So I’ve only used it on one night of camping and haven’t found any negatives yet. Very impressed with the brightness, especially for the price.

It is certainly bright and the beam is adjustable from spot to flood. A charge meter is on the side of the lamp at the front. It actually shows a % of charge from 0 to 100 %. Quality seems very good, but I've only used it a couple of times. I have to admit that as far as comfort goes, it is a bit heavy so keep that in mind, after an hour it is noticeable. So comfort gets a 3 out of 5. It has a huge 3 cell battery compartment on the back with it's own lights, independent of the front one. These 3 batteries should power this for several hours.

LOVE this head light! I've been using it regularly for work as an interior house painter. Helps me greatly to cut good lines especially along the ceiling. Works great and is very bright. Like an adjustable spotlight and can "zoom" in to be quite a small concentration of light. Comes with a rechargeable battery pack which has 3 individual batteries (though not a similar size to any battery I've seen) I like this because I can test these things and replace them as necessary. I assume I can purchase these through the manufacturer though I have not looked into that yet. When charged, the light will last for at least a few days of work for me before needing recharging. It's a little bulky but to be expected for a headlamp with a battery pack of this size. I like it and will buy it again.

Issue with the wiring harness, easy to come apart and you will not be able to rewire it just like previous headlamp. Clips already broken. Very poor wiring harness setup

Super bright. I’m sure it’s not as bright as they advertise it but when did you last find a headlamp on Amazon that was?However this one is good regardless. I’ve had it for around a year I think and it’s still bright. The motion sensor is useless for me but I tried turning it on once and I think it did work. I use it on construction sites when we’re working early or late, and I’ve also used it all sorts of other places where it came in handy. It has a zoom function that’s nice for getting more intense light in a small area or farther away. The only thing that’s not quite optimal is that it’s more of a spotlight than a floodlight, even when it’s fully zoomed out, so the area of light it makes in front of you is smaller than others that are more floodlight style. However, that has never bothered me very badly, and I can recommend the product.

This headlamp is amazing. Brought it out with my two husky mixes in the trails at night and could see very far. The size of the beam is easily adjustable by pushing and pulling the light itself. The motion activated setting was easy to activate by pressing and holding the button. The battery seems to last long enough. We were out for about an hour in the cold at full brightness and the battery still said 100% and that’s from the original factory charge. (They recommend not storing the batteries in the headlamp.) The light wouldn’t be very comfortable if i wasn’t wearing my tuque. I might add padding later if necessary. The plastic seems a bit flimsy on the part the goes directly on the forehead also. But overall very satisfied because it increases trail time as i couldn’t go out after dark before.
