Definitely works with your 2ah and 5ah20v dewalt batteries. The blue light isn't that bright. This does have ac plug-in so very versatile. The build is ok but for less than $20 what do you expect. Definitely zaps and kills most everything found a few small moths that were in the tray still alive. Cheap and effective for those who have dewalt batteries looking for a bug zapper. My friend has the ryobi zapper, but I ain't trying to by another brand so this definitely is worth it

This is now a camping MUST for us! We constantly get a bunch of bugs in our tent and got tired of them sneaking in and wreaking havok while we were trying to enjoy the amenities in our little camping home! This was a game-changer! It not only kills them all but the built-in catcher does it's job and keeps our tent floor clean of the many bug bodies. The design of it keeps most of the bugs that get caught inside of it. One battery lasted all weekend using it sporadically. It is a bit bulky but it is lightweight so with how well it works, thats okay, we can deal with it. Only negative thing is when it zaps a bunch of bugs, there is a slight burnt smell which should be expected but it doesn't linger long. The light is bright, attracting bugs from all corners of our tent. I recommend this item 100% for all your bug-zapping needs. We got rid of almost all of our mini ones and are planning on getting another one of these for the tent our group uses for food storage.

I have other Meliff Products and although not Dewalt quality they are functional for the price. This thing I bought for memorial day weekend. I hooked it to a dewalt battery and also plugged it in. The UV screw in light did not work. I took it apart and the screw on part of the light bulb wasn't attached. I rigged it together figuring I would get another bulb. The lamp portion of it quit working on day two. Hey I can live without that feature so no worries. When I went to use it again the UV light did not work even with a replacement and pretty sure it wasn't zapping bugs. Now it sits in my shop like a tombstone as a reminder to question the Meliff stuff again. It quit working a few days after the return was allowed.

Worked extremely well, super easy to use. Would have given 5 stars if it came with a way to clean out the bigger bugs that got stuck in the wires.

Honestly when I purchased this I figured it would be more of a novelty. I can say i was shocked when it works as good as the big porch models. It comes with a A/C adapter also!
