We purchase a 100+ year old farmhouse that we have been restoring. We have bi-fold doors going from the living room to the library and really wanted to replace them with a barn door, but did not want to lose the wall small on each side of the opening. Then we found this product and problem solved! This gives us the ability to have the Barn door function with the bi-fold concept. We have not hung them yet, as we are going to take this opportunity to have some new doors with glass in them made, and then we will hang. As far as the unit itself, the rails, spacers, rollers, etc are all marked and many of the components are already assembled. Easy for a DIY person to read and understand.Can not wait to get the new doors and then update this post with cool before and after pictures. Well worth the money.

This track and hardware look great. Instructions were not the best. Kinda confusing when it came to adjustable wheel. Track needs 5 holes, not 3 if you are using heavier doors. Light weight, hollow doors would be better. Set screw that holds door on track could be better located instead in on the back of the wheel where it is very hard to reach.

I have most of it setup now. It is very nice hardware. Better than the box store stuff. I'm just waiting for the doors to arrive so I can finish up this project. I needed a custom size for the opening.Installation of the bar is straight forward and easy if you have some handy skills and basic tools. Measure 3x and use a good level and it should come out great.I might get another one for a downstairs basement doorway.

I’m in the clutches of a renovation project, so I haven’t actually been able to install this barn door yet. I am pleased with what I see in the components though. It is a well sorted set and the main pole is right on the 54” I had ordered. The rollers and other components all seem well-made, and I expect it to function well. I am a little anxious about how well it will be with the doors I plan to install because, while they are under the weight rating, they are not light.
