Hair Genetics Root Touch Up Hair Powder - Root Cover Up Instantly Conceals Thin Hairline, Covers Grey Roots, Easy Application, Water & Sweat Resistant Hair Colour for Fuller Hairlines (Dark Blonde)

I decided a month ago that I'd grow a beard, with the last time being 14 years ago when I was 27. I hadn't repeated it since because by 27 I had significant grey around my chin, which I felt subconscious of because it made me look much older than I was. Even now being in my early 40s, I feel it's severe, so I opted for several hair dyeing options; I've tried Volt, which I wasn't impressed with, a beard pencil, which I did like, Just for Men beard dye, which I'm holding off trying until nearer the wedding that I need to attend. I had read some good reviews about this particular product, so looking at the colour and the price, I thought I'd give it a try. Now firstly, the colour is, in my opinion, still too light to be classed as dark brown, as it doesn't match my own facial hair, and the black would be too severe and noticeable. The set is impressive, with the brush for distributing the colour, being very soft and pleasant to just brush the beard with, even without the colour. The compact mirror is also really useful. You can easily keep this in your trouser or jacket pocket and it doesn't take up much room at all. What I really like about this is the colour lasts for most of the day, though I would recommend using it in conjunction with another product, such as a beard pencil. What is also great about this product is it is so quick and convenient to use. Literally a minute and you're good to go. Personally I don't use this to conceal grey roots, but instead as a very temporary beard colourant, I'd recommend a beard pencil for the grey roots instead. Until I try the Just for Men permanent beard colour, I'll continue to use this product. I just wish they would do further dark brown shades, but that really is my only gripe about this product. I’ve tried so many different root cover-up products over the years, but nothing has worked as well as this one. The coverage is incredible — it completely hides my greys and blends perfectly with my hair colour. To show just how good it is, I even took a photo mid-application: one side done and the other not yet touched. The difference was unbelievable! Once I’d finished, my roots looked freshly coloured, and you’d never guess there were any greys there at all. It’s easy to apply, natural-looking, and lasts until my next wash. Honestly, I won’t waste money on anything else now — this is a total game changer!

This is fabulous. I previously bought a much more expensive product, and now realise I should have just got this instead. It’s a really good product, colour spot on, and great value for money. It’s easy to use, and covered grey roots very well, especially as I’m unable to visit hairdresser at the mo. One slight downside is the powder was visible on my pillow the next morning, but that could have been if I used too much initially. Yes residue does come off on to your fingers, if you scratch your head or suchlike, so you need to be aware of this, but it’s a small price to pay, against the huge benefits of covering my silver halo!!

This is a great product. Completely mess free, easy to apply and offers good enough coverage. It blends in with my hair colour really well and the packaging is great for carrying in your handbag to touch up during the day. Bear in mind it does not provide a 100% coverage like the sprays do. It makes your grey hair/roots blend in so it is much less visible. For me, having mess free application makes up for imperfect coverage. Also, it does not make your hair feel sticky or greasy.

I found this product really useful for covering roots. I have to say that my white hair are not massive and with the help of this product they mix very well with the rest of my hair, giving me the time to go to the hairdresser without hurry. Furthermore, since my roots are a little bit greasy and absorbing, this powder works really well on them (in view of this I don't know if it could be indicated for dry hair). I didn't find any trace of stain on my pillow or on my clothes. It is easy to apply it, no mess, no stains, it is like when you put blusher on your cheeks. The difference is that you put it on your hair. It just goes away when you wash your hair, but it's ok. Also in this case I didn't find any stain on my towel. My hair are brown/dark blonde, so the dark blonde was perfect for me. It is the first time that I try a product for covering roots and I am very happy of it.

Its ok. Doesn't cover roots that well actually. Darkens the grey but if you add more it lifts off what you put on before.

Covers roots really well and much cheaper than WOW

Worked to soften my dark roots, which blonde highlights but with dark roots that grow out so quickly. Shed 1 star, due to the dark blonde being VERY dark and I will have to buy another shade lighter for a more satisfactory result. The product's pricing point was good - reason why I tried this. However, there are other similar products with better description and more actual colour examples of before & after. As with many root touch up products, product description extends so far as to grey coverage, but not, when one is trying to cover the roots darker than the rest. My verdict: This product can work to lighten darker roots, just as it can work to cover grey. Even though the colour match could improve (in my case by opting for a lighter shade) it has managed to soften my darker roots a little. (On my photo.. Left: After, Right: Before). Buyer experience could improve significantly, by adding more specific colour examples and description (...and more shades please? perhaps). Shed another star because the powder stained my white blouse when I was removing the garment - It did come off after a wash, but I wouldn't go to bed without washing hair seeing this. This is probably not specific to this particular product - but if you are putting on a lot of powder and wear white like I do, then you are more likely to experience this.

Har testat andra liknande produkter men denna är otroligt bra!!! Den sitter fast ordentligt o avlägsnar sig inte förrän du schamponerar dig. Är väldigt nöjd då jag enkelt o smidigt kan dölja mina gråa hårstrån uppe på huvudet o i tinningen utan att behöva färga håret hela tiden vilket gör så att jag får klåda i hela hårbottnen.
