There are a couple of other similar themed items out there that are actually less expensive, but based on the reviews I saw for them, I guess you could classify them not as "Less Expensive" but just "Cheap" Fortunately, the people that purchased those items made the sacrifice for us so that we wouldn't have to go through the malarkey of disappointment and return. This war blade mini Japanese Samurai Katana paper knife letter opener does not bear that embarrassment this thing is freaking cool and very well built and quite impressive I'm not familiar with the company that makes these but would make an effort to seek them out for future purchases because of how well made and put together this is. My original search was for a skull themed letter opener, because I love the skull motif, and this was one of the things that came up after scrolling and a few swipes. I wasn't able to find the skull blade I was hoping to come across, but I'm glad I found this as an option. Yep, there are "cheaper" options out there and having only had this Japanese Samurai Katana Paper Knife Letter Opener for maybe an hour at this point, I can honestly say that I would definitely purchase this again.

This is very nice letter opener. This would make a great gift. The construction is terrific. It has excellent utility. I am very happy w/ this letter opener. This is recommended.

Super fun letter opener. I honed the blade and it works fantastic

This is a cute and slightly useful little letter opener, if you still get letters that is. It makes opening bills just slightly less painful. However, I worry about the thinness of the blade and using too much force, so be careful. Frankly, it is more of a decorative piece these day than anything.
