Decent M.2 to SATA adapter for storage server.
Six SATA ports out of a M.2 slot is good enough for storage device. A little costly but definitely expands possibilities. I'm using it with a 8th Gen Intel platform motherboard with 3 SATA ports, getting total of 9 SATA ports in total. Works fine for a budget storage server.

Nice upgrade to support my Lab Desktop
Easy installation. Worthy upgrade to add additional HDD. Tested the transfer speed and relatively matches my SAN requirements

Fragile but does the job
This is basically for people trying to make a NAS in a motherboard (especially a virtualized Nas where u can just pass through a sats controller) and for this purpose it does the job, all 6 drives work (atleast wd hdd i tried), the asmedia 11611 chip is ok. As for compatibility, It is well recognised by debian latest kernels, so i did not have to add additional drivers, but this thing is fragile, it has flex each time you plug in or plug out a cable, you constantly feel worried about breaking it. And starting wake up speed of this is slightly slower in response than traditional pcie sata controller (it is slower than my other older asmedia based pci sata adapter), but once the green light dance is on, the functionality is good enough. But at the 3k ish price, it is not budget friendly for all. The old saying, there is no bad product just possible bad pricing, So choose wisely.

set it up inside my home server as the motherboard on it ran out of SATA ports, and all the PCIe slots are taken up by other devices. works a treat, had no issues setting it up in the BIOS and all the drives were detected as normal in UNRAID.

Plug & play: extrem zufrieden.
