R&F Handmade Paints - Soy Wax, 1-Pound

Excellent, kudos R&F - amazingly easy to use and works like a charm. Basically, just drop a few pellets on the aluminum plate or griddle, mix with brush, clean brush and plate with towel paper.

Good stuff, but a bit pricey - hence the 4 stars. Convenient pre-blended medium lets you just take off into your work without having to prep your own.

Good wax but pretty pricey.

I am an artist in New Orleans and bought the soy wax to clean my brushes that are used with encaustic .

The Amazon label is erroneous. The product we received is packaged exactly as in the picture... see the small-print text on the top of the right-most column on the packaging label? That reads, "For cleaning brushes only. Not for use as encaustic".(Apologies to R&F for the bad review: it's probably not your fault that Amazon mislabeled your product; be that as it may, there needs to be a warning to others.)

Received this pretty quickly, It cleans my brushes well for encaustic painting and melts pretty quickly as well, that is why i always use R&F Handmade Paints.

The only way to clean encaustic brushes! Great stuff. It melts fast and is easy to use, just pour and use.
