Entertaining
Played a couple of times at Christmas, I found it fun, trying to work out what to say for your word on the scale. We found it is tricky to actually win and get them in the right order but that could quite likely be us as a family 🤣 Teens 13 & 17 didn’t enjoy it as much as the adults.

Hilarious and creative
This is such a fun game to play and is great for helping kids to let loose with creative ideas. It is quite taxing as a tired parent though as you have to come up with imaginative ideas for different situations..such as ‘I’m an astronaut, and I just spilled something in my space station. What did I spill?’ then have to give ideas from the least distressing to the most distressing depending on which card you get. People then guess whether your card was 1-10 on the distressing scale. It is tricky to get your head around the concept of the game at first but only takes one game and then it becomes very funny. It is great to play as a family partly as it isn’t overly competitive.

**Exploding Kittens: That Escalated Quickly** is an absolute blast! This version takes the original game’s chaotic fun and cranks it up a notch. The new cards add even more unpredictable and hilarious moments, keeping every round fresh and exciting. The gameplay is easy to learn but full of strategy, making it great for both casual players and competitive friends. The artwork and humor are top-notch, just like in the original. If you love Exploding Kittens, this expansion is a must-have! Highly recommend for game nights and parties!

This game has been a satisfyingly hilarious purchase for our family. We've played it a few times since Christmas, and the kids (13-17) look forward to playing it again and trying it with friends--and we adults enjoyed it, as well. It's a simple concept, so it was quick to learn how to play. There's virtually no setup and it doesn't take long to get through a round of the game, which is great if you've got a busy family like ours and are just trying to squeeze in a half-hour or hour of family fun but aren't looking for hours of gameplay. I appreciate that the cards are dual-sided, so you have lots of scenarios to discuss and are not likely to repeat them for quite a long time. It's also a game that would be easy to play in a variety of settings (car, restaurant, hospital room) because it doesn't require much space. (You could actually just play out of the box or just pack the card decks and keep them in-hand if you don't have a surface for displaying the number cards at the end of each round or tracking the success/failure cards.) We did discover that our initial instinct was to come up with a simple answer (for the 'jumping out of an airplane' example on the box--a parachute or an anvil), but in order to differentiate the level of your answer--and up the hilarity--you have to be elaborate and specific (so three dozen parachutes that had been inspected and packed by experts in parachute-packing and were each guaranteed to hold up to 1000 lbs might be the most helpful, while a single parachute haphazardly packed by a six-year-old but definitely connected to your harness or an angry Canada goose with helpfully oversized feet for ease of gripping and steering might be somewhere in the middle and a semi-truck-sized anvil made of a particularly dense metal not found on earth that has the unique quality of being intensely attracted to the surface of our planet would definitely prove itself to be the worst option). Have fun being creative with your answers and debating your fellow players' about the ranking of various answers!

Great game, lots of fun with a group, but you have to get them into collaborative storytelling.
