I am trying to learn how to cook using Mediterranean seasonings. Primarily, their food is healthier. I stumbled on Sumac by accident. Oh my word, it is awesome. I made some lamb with res bell peppers and onions and used this a a main seasoning. I don't particularly care to cook bc of my busy schedule, but I made some for my friends and now they love it. This was the only merchant that I saw that one can buy a pound for a reasonable price. Yet, it is still 100% pure.. It really takes the cake:) Njs

I was first introduced to sumac, when I was looking for natural herbs or spices that helped reduce phlegm. Little did I know, consuming it has brought me an additional benefit. I am at our store 6 days a week, with the exception of national holidays. After work, there is a lot to be done at home, for my husband and our pets. For quite a while, I would feel like I could just go home and climb into bed, I was so tired. Every night, with dinner, I take HCL Betaine, Vitamin C, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin B6, Collagen, and rapid release Niacin, but was still fatigued. I ordered some sumac from a different company, and started putting about 1 - 2 teaspoons in whatever I eat. Sometimes I add it to a dip, sometimes I sprinkle it on whatever I am eating - omelettes, chicken, fish, etc. After a few days, I noticed that I had sustained stamina throughout the day, and right up until bedtime. No more "dragging" myself, and the stamina was consistent. It does not prevent me going to sleep, as some things do that folks take for energy. The phlegm I was having is GREATLY reduced, but the main thing I have observed, is that I have stamina that has been consistently there every day for over 2 months. I particularly like the freshness of this brand, and yes, it does taste a bit saltier than some of the other sumac I have tried, but think I will be ordering THIS, again!

I have ordered this three times and it's been an excellent product, very fresh and lemony flavor, almost "wet" it's so fresh, but this time it arrived with some firm clumping. So stiff I have to break it up between my fingers or with a tool. Disappointing for such a good product.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD SUMAC & BUY THIS, I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU CAN BUY MORE. SUMAC HAS A NICE LEMONY TASTE TO IT, YOU CAN PUT IT ON FISH OR ON YOUR RICE & IT IS DELICIOUS. YOU CAN BAKE FISH COVERED IN IT. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY THE ONE THAT IS 100% SUMAC & IS THE BEST SELLER. AS I SAID, THIS WAS SO TERRIBLE THAT I WANTED MY MONEY BACK. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS SUMAC DOES NOT TASTE LIKE THIS. I JUST WROTE A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE ONE THAT ACTUALLY TASTES EXACTLY LIKE IT SHOULD & IT IS FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS!! EVERYONE SHOULD LOVE IT! Taste is great and it is very fresh

As someone who loves Mediterranean food, I love adding this to my olive oil dressing on salads, or sprinkling this on hummus or baba ghanoush. It is so refreshing, and very good quality.

El sumac es una especia muy típica en la cocina de Oriente Medio, especialmente en platos jordanos. Se obtiene de las bayas secas de un arbusto, que se muelen hasta formar un polvo rojizo. Tiene un sabor ácido, fresco y ligeramente astringente. A mí, este sumac en particular me encanta porque tiene el equilibrio perfecto de sal y acidez. Le da un toque único a ensaladas, carnes, etc.
