Great when used correctly.
So I've bought several different sizes of these and they work really great! Mostly cutting thinner stainless with them, and doing so, they cut thru the stainless like a hot knife thru butter. I've only had one failure, but I blame myself on that one for using a hand drill on exhaust at a terrible angle on an elbow. If you're using these in a tubing notcher or a drill press where you can control your feed and pressure, they should last a very long time.

Metal working
Good for cutting metal, not so good for wood ,tends to clog.

Works great, but the pilot will break if you’re not careful
This hole saw and the pilot bit are well made I believe, because ultimately it made the hole and didn’t struggle to make the cut in 16 gauge of stainless steel. However my reason for one less star is that the pilot bit broke when it cleared the material and the main saw engaged to cut. As I’m not an experienced machinist, I’m not sure if it’s my fault - it’s a hand held drill and I should have anticipated the twisting force as the main bit engaged. But then most people who buy this are DIY’ers and will probably do it for first time. I appreciate if the manufacture included this warning to look out, or even better if they can add additional pilot bit for a marginally increased price. (I couldn’t continue to drill and succeed if I didn’t have a second hole saw of same brand in different size that had its own pilot bit). As a tip for others, use caulking to build a dam for your oil or water for cooling the bit and material (see picture)

Works best at low speed.
Worked well when used in a mill at low speed to drill through 5/8” mild steel plate. Would stop cutting and then had to stop and clean shavings several times during process. But still sharp at the end of the cut.

Did the job, no problem.
I used this saw to cut through a stainless steel kitchen sink. It worked just fine, with good results. I don’t know how long lasting it is, since I’ve used it only once. But no problem so far.

Good bit, buy a spare
Buy two if you have to make more than 3 holes. After the third hole punching through 1/8 inch steel it caught the steel and stripped all the cutting bits off. Prior to that cut great! Luckily I suspected something like this might happen and ordered 2 of these. Got all 6 holes drilled out np.

Tried to use this on a piece of Maple about 20mm thick. It produced a very very fine sawdust, but after 10 minutes it had only managed to go into the wood about 1mm. Pressing harder, my drill press stalled. I don’t understand how other reviews had success drilling aluminium and steel !

I needed to drill a 48mm diameter hole through 25mm thick spring steel that is already hardened. I used a milling machine and compressed air to clear the chips and heavy oil as lubricant. I used the slowest speed of 75rpm and lots of pressure. This hole saw did a really good job, the hole is clean and as smooth as can be expected. It drilled 1mm oversized, resulting in a 46mm hole. This was fine as I bought a slightly smaller cutter than the required final size. The pilot drill cut cleanly through the steel, but the cutting edge is slightly dull afterwards. The TCT brazed tips have held up very well, one has a very small chip but it will not affect its ability to cut cleanly. Extremely pleased with this very reasonably priced hole saw.
