Was using a similar product but it kept getting a little gungey after a bit, tried hot wax and yeah love that but can’t be bothered with the hassle, this stuff though wow goes on like normal lube, gets to the required points of the chain, dries clear and stays clean and gunge free and of course the drivetrain feels silky smooth.

This Silca wax is the best wax treatment for my bike chains I have used. Unlike other waxes that are applied as a liquid this is not washed away by water when riding in the rain. The bottle cap is well designed and helps apply it neatly and economically to the links without wastage. This wax is very thin as I understand it is dissolved in an alcohol like substance and therefore penetrates the links extremely well, other brands are thicker and are water based which means the wax disappears when wet. Although expensive to purchase it is used sparingly and lasts at least 100 miles of mixed riding, probably a lot more in the dry. This large bottle could last a very long time and is the best value in the long run.

Better Thunder oil, but can also make grime and lasts not more than 150k. Bought to use between melted wax (also from Silca), but changed to Rex and get 1000k from a single application. Silca seems like overpriced stuff in comparison.

Great product! Doesn't attract the dirt as much as the other products I tried. It is expensive but definitely worth the money.
