I always bake my cheesecakes in a Bain Marie (water bath), which is essential to prevent cracking. I double wrap the springform pan in heavy duty aluminum foil, but sometimes some water will seep in. This silicone pan is a game changer. No water leaks and the cheesecake turns out perfect!

Ordered this protector because the cheesecake recipe I use most often requires me to cook it in a hot water bath. Despite my attempts to protect the springform pan with multiple sheets of aluminum foil, a bit of water seems to penetrate. I have used this silicone product one time and it worked flawlessly, as described. It fits my springform pan like a tight glove. I highly recommend.

Rating raised to 4 stars. It does its job. It will save you from the dreaded aluminum jacket wrap.. The way it was packaged. Really? I have the actual pan shoved it right now hoping the creases will come out. Quality is meh, at best. It feels thin and cheap. I have a cheesecake to make in the next week, so it will get tested, but it will be submerged in water first to see if it leaks at all. So far, I don’t see my rating changing.

No more wrapping my cheesecake pans in tin for I’m praying that the water didn’t leak through which is always dead now I could just put this around my cheesecake pan and put the water on the outside and I have beautiful cheesecakes every time
