Bought to go on top of an Emma mattress, as I found the mattress made me overly warm. I'd read that having a natural fibre topper would help, and this does seem to. It does smell a little woolly, as you'd expect because it is wool! Adds a little comfort, but mostly me requirement was to help reduce overheating at night and I do think it has.

So comfortable really made a difference. I looked for quite a while to get a 100 percent wool mattress topper. Wool does make the difference. It is wipe clean you cannot wash, presumably because the wool would felt. Very pleased with my purchase.

So I was in search of wool Bedding for a whole now as for wools vibrational frequency healing benefits . I've purchased two different brands silentnight and slumberdown; Basically the filling on the silentnight is a lot more than slumberdown but sadly silentnight has a polyester fabric on the reverse and slumberdown has full cotton cover and I have to keep slumberdown although it's got less filling . The reason I do not want polyester is that polyester disturbs the frequency of the wool. Other than that this mattress topper is nice,has a well made cotton cover but it's more like mattress protector as its not thick enough to be considered as topper! Hence I'm not sure of ots a good value for your money,doesn't smell and I'm.sure it will keep me.warm and cool and improve my sleep.

After giving this a good go, I ended up removing it from the bed at 3:30 this morning as it was fairly unbearable. I have another wool topper that creates a great airflow under the body and keeps you cool. This seems to be some sort of torture device that was designed to boil me in my skin.

It seems to me to be a thicker matress protector ,so if you are expecting a thick mattress topper this is not . I hope it will be warm and cosy in cold winter weather.

I’m a complete convert would never sleep under polyester again. Downside is you can’t wash only refresh by hanging in the sun and fresh air however that wouldn’t make me give it up.
