Easily the best arm for the price point
I ordered one of these arms to use on a humanoid robot I’m building. Upon unboxing, it was up and ready to use via the Wi-Fi interface in under 2 minutes. It’s a good size with solid human comparable reach and just in a quick test it could pick up a game controller (by the wire) at full extension with no problem. The mount holding the LED also offers possibilities for adding cameras to the end effectors which is a bonus. This is easily the best robotic arm I’ve seen at this price point. Highly recommend. Just be aware the documentation is on waveshares website as there are no instructions in the box.

Nice robot arm for the price, good hobby starter
I bought this just for a hobby. Luckily it comes pre-assembled so I just had to mount it to one of my tables. For what it does, I really like it. The web based control is simple and to the point for just moving the arm around. I did manage to hook it to my computer using Ubuntu. It is a pretty good learning curve to lean all the things this arm can do, but for now I do look forward to it. Eventually I plan on mounting the arm to one of the UGV bases.

What a pain!!
This thing was a pain to program. Even with AI help, it just kept erroring out. Instructions were hard to understand. Not much in examples on the web. Sent it back. Too bad, it is quality hardware, but the translation and clarity on documentation ruined it.

Great for teaching kids as well.
My husband got this as a toy for himself and now the grandkids love to play with it.

Not super impressed
Came in missing screws base was not attached to arm. While fixing it one of the screws stripped. Power cord is really short and couldn't reach now I need an electrician to add outlets for a dedicated circuit.

Smooth, Strong, Expandable, and a Great Price?! This is an Amazing Robotic Arm!
This arm is beautiful, robust, and pretty amazing at this price point! It has a very smooth movements. Easily controllable via several different methods including a direct web interface via IP address as soon as you power it up. It is also expandable with sensors, cameras, and more SBuss servos. Although I did read that you will want to purchase waveshare servos to avoid any complications with compatibility however, I don't see this as an issue because their servos are strong and reasonably priced. Overall I am quite impressed with the WaveShare M2 arm!

So cool...
I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet, but this is a fun project, documentation is available at the manufacturer's website, and basic controls can be used through a web browser via ip address.

This thing is hardcore. I was so impressed when I took it out of the box to see how fast and strong it truly was. For some reason I had it in my mind is being generally a bit less capable, though this has really blown me out of the water. I found the phone control feature to be a little clunky and not well executed . It wasn't unmanageable, but rather just led to a slightly less enjoyable user experience. If you can get a handle on the app it is able to operate with an amazing amount of precision. It seems quite strong as well, although I haven't pushed it all the way to its limits for the projects that I have it's just not required at this time. It does require a decent amount of space, so if you were hoping to use this in a smaller workspace this might not be the best option. Overall I'm pleased with the quality especially of this arm.

What would you expect for the robot which costs around 250€ ? A toy? Ordering that I was totally impressed how well the robot was developed. There's even a place for customizations - for example I have added 2 more axis - Claw tilt, rotation and the claw itself. Had problems at the start that the EOT servo was not working, but resolved that through the customer support - ordered another one and they refunded me costs of that servo. In addition, I have learned the hard way that the USB controller is just for programming and not for servos - I have burned it. Now I know that to control the arm it's better to use external power. But even with that it works perfect. I've added OTA Updates to the firmware, couple of new JSON commands to control the claw and plan to use it in my project. If I would have more money and the v.1 of the arm would have the same controller, I would buy the first version - it looks much more reliable. But still, this one is pretty decent. Already using it like one month.

I had some issues with the robot arm when I received it. However, customer support was excellent, to be honest one of the best that I ever had. This is a very good option for a budget robot arm.
