My car kept dying and it turns out something was draining the battery. Took it to a mechanic and they said it was the alternator. Got a new one and battery kept dying. Bought this product and it’s perfect! Easy installation, fits any car, worth spending the money on, remote control is probably one of my favorite parts about it. If somethings is draining your car but this product. Best product I’ve ever bought on Amazon!

The media could not be loaded. Just finished installing; took about 15 minutes and most of that was figuring out the best placement for the module in my 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI's relatively tight engine bay. If you can connect jumper cables and know what direction to turn a wrench, it's very easy. You can probably figure out from these pics if the instructions don't make sense to you.Our wagon has an electrical draw that no shop has been able to diagnose thus far. Sometimes, it can go a few days or a week without any issues, and then all of a sudden, you park it for 5 minutes and doesn't have enough power to start. It's left us stranded a couple times, and sometimes even our Noco battery pack isn't enough to get it started again. I've been disconnecting the battery when we park as a stopgap until we can figure out where the electrical fault is, but it's annoying doing that every time we park. This makes it much easier and more convenient.Also, some of the 1-star review note that if they click the "off" button accidentally while the car's on, they lose all power and risk an accident. That should only be happening if your alternator is shot; once the car is running, you can disconnect the battery and it will stay on (you won't be able to start it again until you reconnect it, though). I tested it in the video and it keeps running all the same.

Easy to install. Worked like a charm. Well worth the price which I don't feel was high at all.

I used this product for my Toyota FJ cruiser.The product is set for a negative pole installation. In my case, it didn't work on the negative pole. Instructions provided the option for positive pole installation. I re-arranged the connections following the provided diagram. It worked perfectly on the positive pole.The engineering for this product provides for an upright installation. In this manner the cover won't fill up with water and short the switch. For the price, this is a better option cause' the upgraded switches just provide a more water resistant casing with more installation options but, the insides are the same. I use my SUV as a vehicle not as a submarine so I don't have to spend 59$ instead of this 20$ option.To make it work, I removed the upper connection ear to avoid contact with the closed hood. Also, I didn't use the provided pole cause' I have a multi-port pole which provides a slot for this switch. To convert it into a positive pole connection, I switched the cables and used the red one (the longer cable) to connect the system to the negative and the black (shorty) for the positive (Note: You can re-use the cables but you CAN NOT switch the polarity refer to product sticker). Lets see how much it will last (Refer to the attached pictures).2 inconveniences with this product:1. Not fool proof instructions. That is why some buyers fail to accomplish the proper installation.2. The provided aluminum pole is very brittle. It broke on me while testing different set ups.Regardless of these issues, it appears to be a great product.The remaining question is,Is the remote code tamper secure?

Put this on my truck to stop battery drain and to hopefully prevent theft. Battery would drain after 3 days of not running the truck. Ive let this thing sit for a month before starting the truck and it started right up!

I accidentally touched the metal ratchet to the negative post & metal connector thus sparks flying all over but the product/kill switch relay was defaulted to OFF mode and that saved me troubleshooting to located a few fuses that I might have burned. Well designed product !!Works like a charm so far.

I am not at all skilled at such things but this battery disconnect switch took me ten minutes to install and works perfectly.

I had a problem with parasitic drain on my battery on my Dodge Journey. My friend is a mechanic who works for Mercedes Benz and he couldn't find the problem so he suggested a battery kill switch. He installed it and it works great.The main problem I found is that the instructions weren't really clear. My friend, a mechanic figured it out quickly, but again, the instructions are obviously translated to english, so a bit difficult. Also, it was a tough install since the actual battery is just above the wheel well and out of site on the Journey.This unit comes with 2 remotes, a real bonus, but the instructions show 3 different ways they can be programmed to operate. I found that very confusing and unnecessary. The good thing, is that they come programmed so no need to reprogram. Press 'OFF' and the battery disconnects. Press 'ON' and the battery connects. Easy Peasy.The added bonus is that this unit can be used as a battery kill switch to protect your vehicle from being stolen because when activated, the car will not start.The only CON to this is that when you disconnect the battery, you lose the time on the clock. I can live with that. The radio stations remain intact, which is good.

This was easy to fit and has stopped the battery draining over a few days.Isolating the battery has save me having to recharge every few days, works well.

Someone took/stole a set of keys to my truck and my van . So I got this remote disconnect to put on both of them . I put them in the day I got them ! And they work great ! Two days later I found my door's unlocked but the disconnect stopped them from taking my truck ! Thank you so much for making a great product !
