These combs really hold the hair well. Combs like this are impossible to find now so I was very happy to find them on Amazon. Great size, work well, and look good.

Great hair comb. Used it with my costume for the Jane Austen Festival in the UK. These kept my thick hair up all evening. No slips or loose hair. Solid plastic.

Holds Hair securely, and doesn’t poke your scalp. I live in the tropics, and this time of year the humidity and heat is intense. I usually wear my hair up because it gets in the way when I’m doing things. But when my hair is piled on top of my head, over the hours the hair on the nape of my neck frizzes and knots, becoming unmanageable and not very comely. I used to use these years ago just to hold my hair off my face, but for summer this works great to tame the knotted mess from an up do in this heat, my hair is very long and thick. Generally it’s become curly as I’ve gotten older, but I think these would hold even straight, fine hair. It doesn’t pinch, and is very secure. I even dozed off after dinner laying flat on the couch and I forgot the comb was there on thr back of my scalp. It didn’t budge, didn’t poke me, or break from the weight of my head. These definitely work. Make sure you get the right size for your purpose and type of hair. I will order more in br 4” size as well, but these even held my hair off the face when I wore it down as a test run out doing errands earlier. My hair stayed put and I didn’t have to readjust. Glad I found the brand my mom remembered using.

I like these, they do have a good grip. I thought they'd be a little longer, but overall I'm very happy with this product. (Also the packaging is cute)

These were a bit expensive, but I decided to give them a go based on the great reviews. I'm glad I did. I've never had any luck getting hair combs to stay put in my long hair. These go in and don't budge until I take them out. I can even manage a twist with a half up and the combs stay in place without crimping my hair. I'll never be without them again!

Being in my ‘70s, my hair isn’t what it used to be. That being said, it’s not thin and wimpy either by a long shot. I’ve tried several diff brands of hair combs since letting my pixie cut grow out. Nothing has worked til now. These hold that sloooow to grow out side hair securely in place. Not one single strand has come loose for 2 hours now and I’ve been in & out, in the wind outdoors, on the phone, u name it. By now, any other combs would be falling out & needing to be re-secured. THESE WORK! I recommend! 👍🏻

These combs are the BEST. I hesitated at the relatively high price for a couple of pieces of plastic, but they really do the job as advertised. I have long, thick, wavy hair. One 3.25" comb keeps it back and off my face (fastened at the crown) for the whole day -- no slippage and no need for adjustment. The clear ones are barely visible. Highly recommend.
