Wood carving is my Father's new favorite hobby in retirement. He was delighted with this set, it is perfect for a beginner. He said the knives are sharp, and he also likes the nice variety of sizes. He is carving plaques and trees with them, he said they carve excellent. I am buying one for each of my sons for Christmas. This makes a really beautiful gift for friends and family. The packaging is durable and beautiful, almost need to wrap it! I highly recommend this set for gift giving, it's super nice!

This is a great "beginner but not too beginner" set. A friend had been talking about wanting to get into woodworking for a while so I decided to start researching and checking tool options. This kit comes with a good variety of tools and the bag/wrap to hold them all make it quite convenient. Sets like this are a great way to try a bunch of tools and explore a new hobby before upgrading to a fancier set. So far, they've all held up and don't feel flimsy or cheap so it feels like a good value considering the variety. One other little plus- the box it comes in is cute and makes a great gift box!

Beginner wood carver here, just recieved them and everything is in i clouded nice set. Just a few issues: Leather Tool Kit is real Leather BUT NOT the one pictured in their description. The Leather blade protectors are very tight, be careful putting them on as a few of my blades went right through the side of its protector

This wood carving kit is such a great value! It comes with lot of different types of tools and cuts the wood like butter as they are very sharp! The carrying case is a nice touch. It easily stores the kit. The gloves are great to have as well. Very happy with this purchase.

Haven't tried them out yet. Waiting on some carving, cut resistant, gloves. BUT, the nice leather case IS NOT leather. Some kind of cheap fake stuff with no leather look to it. That would have been OK, IF it wasn't a lie, and if the knives hold out. The pouch will not hold up. Sheaths are not a good fit and cut threads on 3 just getting the blade in.
