Heavy duty. Holds the fire extinguisher on my excavator well.

Make sure you know the size of your fire extinguisher. Mine barely fit.That said it locks the extinguisher in place very securely.

Bought this to mount on a hay baler. It is heavy duty and well built. I was able to bolt it directly to the baler. The 2 1/2 gal extinguisher fit it perfectly. Great product for the price. I recommend this fire extinguisher mount.

It is primarily designed to be mounted in a vehicle, where it would no doubt securely hold a fire extinguisher subject to movement. I got it for inside a house and maybe it's overkill for that, but it will work and will be more secure versus the typical holder that only holds it around the neck. So maybe it's safer around kids for example. It's a nice looking unit and shows that one means business, that the fire extinguisher is there, especially if part of a station with proper signage (see my other reviews), a fire blanket, a first aid kit, and if you want to get really serious a defibrillator...It is designed to hold 10 pound ABC, or 5 pound CO2 fire extinguishers. There are good photos on the Amazon listing for dimensions and the types of tanks that it will fit. I have posted some photos with a ruler so that you can see the dimensions and determine if your tank would fit or not. The securing post may have to be cut to size if your extinguisher is on the smaller side.The construction is steel (not stainless steel) with bright red enamel paint. It looks good and is sturdy. Other reviewers have commented on the various standards with regards to brackets, which tanks will fit, and the locking pin mechanism, which while more secure, involves an extra step when using the extinguisher. There are 6 mounting holes on the back, and 4 on the bottom; mounting hardware is not included.The Amazon listing has a photo showing 24 x 7 phone support, but I don't see any number anywhere. There was no info card with the product with any contact info. The seller has a Chinese business address with no phone number nor email listed.
