When I first saw this I thought what an amazing idea, although you do need a bit of theory knowledge to use it properly. It's not something you'll use all the time so, after only 5 months sat on my pedalboard at home, the pedal stopped being able to switch off whilst on the latch mode (permanently on or off). When set to the mode where you turn it on momentarily, it's fine but, who wants that. Reading about problems and fixes, it seems that this is very common with TC Electronics Toneprint pedals. I've contacted TC Electronics themselves over a week ago and have yet to get a response so, back to Amazon it's gone. Lovely pedal, dodgy quality and awful customer service. I will never buy another TC Electronics pedal.

Delivered fast but couldn’t find an explanation anywhere as to why the pedal does t work using a 9v battery, guitar plays through fine. Pedal does t seem to work?

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable regarding music theory, in particular, the 7 modes of the major scale, etc. With that said, I was absolutely confused when I plugged into this unit, set the key to C, and the mode to Ionian (I figured I should try it out with the most basic scale).....then, panic set in. It sounded completely atonal, rather than the major scale in C. Then I noticed the # (sharp) switch was ON ! Lol, I switched it into the down position, and there was my expected C major scale, complete with the 3rd above. I won't make that mistake again. The bottom line is, new pedals take some getting used to, but after that snafu on my part, this harmonizer works like a charm. I have found that i like it best working with a clean or slightly crunchy sound, using the neck pickup on my Ibanez Jemjr going into my Marshall combo. I am very pleased with this pedal. I will say though, you don't have to know music theory if you have a really good ear, but it will surely make more sense using the different modes and keys if you have some basic theory under your belt. I would by it again, and I have considered possibly doing that so I can have a 2nd for a different amp setup. My idea is to have one set to one mode and key, and the other to a different setting so I can change keys and/or modes with the flick of an ABY switch. This unit is solidly built, and would certainly buy from this manufacturer again.

Este pedal funciona como esperaba ahora que he experimentado dónde se encuentra en mi cadena de señal. En el primer intento sonó muy mal debido a extraños elementos o fragmentos de ruido digital. Además, aunque puedo tocar todas las escalas de notas y reconocerlas cuando las escucho... como en las pistas de acompañamiento de YouTube... Mi teoría musical es deficiente estos días. Este pedal te obligará a comprender cosas como mayor, menor, mixolidio, jónico, etc., para poder seleccionar las armonías correctas y poder tocar con otras personas o pistas de acompañamiento. Porque toco en tantas escalas y modos diferentes como sea posible... estoy ajustando el pedal para cada canción. Es difícil ver todos los detalles del pedal cuando está en el suelo. Debido a esto, tengo una imagen grande del pedal en la pantalla de mi computadora donde puedo leer y ver fácilmente todas las funciones, luego ajusto el pedal según las posiciones que necesito. Incluso entonces, es fácil olvidar si lo has cambiado a natural o nítido y te hace preguntarte por qué a veces suenas como una ballena moribunda. Todavía no he creado ninguna configuración personalizada. Hay mucho que ofrece este pedal tal como viene. Puedo recomendarlo en función de cómo suena y de cómo te enseñará algo de teoría musical, que aunque no es necesario, es una buena idea.
