Looks and sounds great but had issues with the remote from day one. It only worked at 10cm in front of the radio. The app helped but it was temperamental. The screen greyed out after a software update. It got back up after reboot. Not much joy😥. Had no choice. Sent it back after 3 weeks.

This radio is awesome. I'm out in the middle of the Pacific, (outer island of Hawaii) and I can FINALLY get great radio. Not just good, great. Pros: Very well made. Great display for station search. The display font is very appealing. Very clean sound quality. Ease in setting up. ( I did it in about 15 minutes without opening the book.) Ease in station search. The sleep timer is very easy to set in 10 minute increments. Just push a stand alone button once for every 10 minutes. If you want minutes turn the big knob. Volume is the stand alone knob on top. The display light is controlled with the big knob which changes in increments down to off. I think the sound fades to almost nothing right before the sleep timer shuts off the radio but I'm not sure yet. That puts me right to sleep. The remote is easy to tell which way is up in the dark. The down side has the batteries and the up side is thinner. Cons: When on sleep timer I can turn the display light all the way off. When the radio shuts off the display light comes back on with the time displayed. Maybe if I open the book I can figure out how to keep it off all night. ( I don't need to know what time it is until next year.) I prefer darkness all night until the Hawaiian birds wake me up. The station buttons on the face of the radio are hard to feel in the dark, making it difficult to change stations while laying in bed. I think the remote will be good for that once I have that memorized. I can't tell you how the alarm works because I'll never need it. With how well this radio is made and the thoughtfulness they put into its use I'd bet it's close to perfect. I was advised to just use my phone for internet radio and boy am I glad I forked out the money for this instead. I bought it mostly because of the sleep timer and that exceeded all my expectations. Next, I'll buy a FM transmitter to transmit ANYTHING to my shop. All in all, I'm thrilled with this radio. I think I've never been so pleased with any other Amazon purchase. (can you tell?) I'd highly recommend this radio to everyone outside a big city's range. Kinda hard to fork out the money, kinda spendy, but now that's the farthest thing from my mind. I'm listening to Australia, Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Seattle. MSNBC too. My search for more continues. I'm so over small town radio. Finally! Buy it and enjoy.

I had an earlier version of this type of radio from the same company, and am amazed at how far they have come in such a short period of time. The controls are much more elaborate than on the original, and the additional features offered on this device are quite good. The sound quality is excellent, of course that depends on your source, but all in all this is a perfect solution for a counter top radio like the ones that I grew up with. Only now I can listen to radio from anywhere in the world, which is one of my favorite features of these devices.
