Durable set, it was more than I was expecting

The tool kit is good quality. The carry case is sturdy and holds everything in place well. The ratchets are sturdy and feel of a good quality. I feel like there should be a better selection of 1/2 inch sockets. They are lacking. Overall I am happy with the kit.

Super tool set

The storage is brilliant, it comes with the case which has it all put away perfectly! Great value for money and my partner loves it! It's easy removal and use. It is slightly heavy but still brilliant and that's to be expected!

I like the tight ratchet, and having some hand wrenches there together, instead of going through all that stuff in a tool box to find it, is a plus! I have way too many tools. 60 years of wrenching it gets that way. Everything I need in one place is a good thing.

À noter que les douilles ont un profil type OGV (pour réduire les contraintes sur les arrêtes des écrous) et sont pour la plupart disponibles dans les 3 séries (1/4, 3/8 et 1/2) ce qui est indispensable lorsqu'on souhaite serrer ou desserrer un axe dont la tête et l'écrou sont de taille identique. Concernant les cliquets, ils possèdes tous les 3 un angle de reprise très faible de 4° (90T = 90 dents par tour) permettant de les utiliser même dans espaces très restreints, comme dans un compartiment moteur par exemple. Pour les clé mixtes à cliquet, cet angle de reprise descend même à 3° (120T), ce qui garantit un serrage ultra rapide et moins de fatigue (évite la multiplication des gestes inutiles). Contrairement à d'autres marques, la taille des douilles est ici gravée au laser sur le revêtement noir pour une meilleure lisibilité dans tous les environnements lumineux. Attention cependant, autant cette mallette est complète, autant elle est plutôt massive (environ 56 x 40 x 12 cm) et franchement lourde (14 kg). Comparée à celle que je possédais déjà, c'est un mastodonte ! Hors de question de la mettre dans un sac à dos comme j'ai l'habitude de le faire quand je pars en dépannage. Elle sera donc en priorité destinée à rester à l'atelier. Le seul point que je n'ai pas encore pu tester de façon extensive est leur solidité, n'étant pas encore tombé sur un écrou particulièrement récalcitrant. Mais ayant l'habitude de travailler avec de l'outillage pro (Facom et Snap-On), ceux-là ont l'air particulièrement sérieux.

Well-made with a nice black-chrome finish. They are made of heavy-duty forged chrome vanadium steel; it looks like this kit is built to last. This set is heavy, about 28.5 lbs! The tool assortment is very comprehensive containing an array of ratchet wrenches, thin flat wrenches, sockets, ratchets, Allen keys, nut-drivers, and screwdriver bits that would be commonly needed by a professional or weekend warrior alike. The entire kit is held in a rugged ABS form-fitted plastic case with front and side latches to make sure you don’t accidentally dump your entire set open! Overall I am very impressed with this kit, it is everything you may need to fix whatever it is that needs fixing. The quality is on par with any similar set sold by a big-box retailer. The sizes are nicely laser etched in gold lettering as well as stamped into the forging. The metric and imperial sizes are colour-coded on the sockets (Metric = Blue, SAE = Red). The ratchet wrenches have a 120-tooth gear which yields an impressive 3-degree throw and the socket ratchets have a 90-tooth gear which yields an impressive 4-degree throw; perfect for those really tight fasteners. The case will hold most of your tools securely but if you throw it around too hard, some will dislodge. The only criticism I have is that some of my tools were scratched from the factory; the black chrome was removed in places. I know tools are going to get used and scuffed but if the black finish won’t stay on, what’s the point of having it? Better to leave it regular chrome. Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell on the durability and reliability of this product; therefore, I am going to monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise. Cost-effectiveness and value: At a current price of $363.99 (plus a $36 off coupon), I feel that this is great value for the quality delivered. The price is not out of line for such a comprehensive kit. It’s an ideal kit to have when you are on the road or in your shop; it makes an excellent gift for a young homeowner starting out or the weekend warrior grease monkey. I recently had the opportunity to try out this mechanics tool set, and from my initial use, it's evident that a lot of thought went into its design and construction. Using the ratcheting wrenches was especially satisfying due to their smooth operation, which requires only a minimal 3-degree swing arc. This precise mechanism ensures tasks can be completed efficiently and with relative ease. A highlight of the set is the comprehensive range of sizes it offers. Both SAE and Metric measurements are included, covering sizes like 8mm to 19mm and 5/16 inch to 3/4 inch, ensuring that I'm equipped for nearly any job that might come up. Although the set leans on the heavier side, this can be attributed to the sheer number of tools housed within and their robust construction, reaffirming the quality I experienced firsthand.
