Works better than a coat hanger and will last

I bought this plus a couple other recommended items after my daughter got locked out of her car. I believe some police jurisdictions carry the same thing. Locksmiths definitely do, but they don't work for free. Obviously it doesn't help if it's in the trunk and you can't open the trunk, but you can be the Good Samaritan for the hapless stranger in the parking lot. Or, as in my case, help a family member who happens to suffer the same unfortunate experience. The other recommended items are the air bag that allows for some clearance to get the thing past the window and a rigid hook that can latch onto the inside door handle. Neither will harm the paint, the glass, or the door in anyway. All are available from Amazon. Good things to have.

When used with two airbags, it's very easy to open car doors. Has been a money saver when someone locks their keys in the car. The only down side is friends and family all know that I have these so I'm always on call!

this is a simple item used to gain entry to a locked vehicle with a button lock system this is easy to use if you ever lock your keys in the vehicle but still have access to this item at first this item feels a little bit flimsy but for the type of operation it is it is very pliable and maneuverable as your fishing it through the window or door seal with a little practice entry can be made within 30 seconds for less
