I purchased this for my son's birthday. There was an instruction card inside to download the instructions however many parts are missing and there is no way that this set is 50pcs as claimed in the ad. There are quite a few pieces mentioned in the instructions manual that are missing. The remote controller which was the main reason I got it is missing too. Not a happy customer and won't recommend it.

These motors are not LEGO although they are very similar. I do not own LEGO products so I am unable to do an actual comparison. Reviews I have seen however rate these motors better than LEGO when it came to strength and power. These motors use two stage planetary type gearing to drop the speed and provide good torque for the power they use. I do many projects with DC motors and I liked these because they were quite easy to take apart should someone want to replace the motor with a stronger one of the same size. one of the larger motors I received in the kit did not spin as easily by hand as the others. I suspect the gearing was a little off. It didn't seem to affect the performance although I'm unsure how long it will last. I also liked the battery holders and the LED indicator and reversing switch. I have no doubt these would blend in with LEGO products without issue and one can't beat the price.
