The price alone almost made me turn away and not buy this product (it’s just a light bulb that floats in midair)! The YouTube community drug me down this darken path of cool tech and I happen to like things like this! First impressions: Starting with the price at $99.99usd (That’s what I paid) or todays asking price at $109.00usd to me is outrageous just for a light bulb that will never illuminate enough light to brighten up a room. The cool factor or calling it a timeless piece of some sort of artwork is all that is going for this product. If you are looking for functionality please look elsewhere as this is not in it’s DNA! Like I said before this is for the cool factor and it’s written all over it! So why did I buy it?, Stay tuned to my conclusion (Not a bad product by far)! Look and feel: Once it was unboxed, I was greeted with a nicely rounded heavy block of wood with a magnetic field embedded inside of it. On the top of the surface there is one capacitive touchpoint to toggle the light’s on and off status. This button area is kind of invisible but it has a power button icon tramp stamp highlighting its location to help you know where you need to place your finger. Underneath this block of wood there lies an air vent and three rubber leg stubs to stop it from sliding. On the back there is a barrel hole that is used for the power supply brick which has only two prongs with no ground (No USB type C in 2021?). Last is the bulb, it has a wooden chassis that covers the would-be spiral power connection at the bottom of a common light bulb. The LED light looks old fashion giving you a vintage but rustic steampunk looks and feel. Not too bright not too dim but a nice complement to what you may be looking for! Side note when cleaning this bulb use alcohol and let sit for an hour so that it will not fog up from the heat that the bulb produces! Why the modification: Well, it looks nice sitting on a table top with that gorgeous round block of wood, nope I was not feeling that so I decided to modify and DIY. I found a larger block of wood then hallowed it out with a round hole underneath. Then I placed the round magnetic base inside the hole I made giving it a more I love it look. The power on and off capacitive touch point is still functional but I did not add a power button icon tramp stamp to highlight its location so yes, it’s a hit or miss but still works! Conclusion: Would I buy this again, well the answer is nope and why is that well it’s the price tag. Do I like it, hell yes but more after the modifications! Should you buy it or like it, well if money is not an object and you like art go for it. If you are looking for functionality and to light up a room this is not the one! Cool factor is and what this is no more no less!

This lamp actually works like you hope it will (LOL). My 9 year old son wanted it for his room and it was a little more than I wanted to spend but honestly it's worth it. It really does levitate. It also gently, slowly turns/spins which is cool - looks more active/interactive. The light is a soft warm yellow. It's a great desk light or bedside table light. The "wood" tone base actually looks really nice. Very pleasantly suprised with this!! I think it would also make a great gift for someone hard to buy for.

Love it! Few things you should know before buying. It takes a few tries to get a feel for where the center point of the magnet is to keep it elevated. It’s way easier with two hands than one. If you misalign it, it’ll snap to the side of the display, but you just try again. Second, the lightbulb is not very bright so don’t expect this to light the room. Third, the lightbulb can be turned off with a button on the dock. If you unplug it, the bulb cannot float. Overall, I am incredibly happy with this product! It looks great, everyone who has seen it finds it fascinating, would totally recommend to anyone that likes these sorts of gadgets. It makes a great gift for yourself or others!

I can't speak for this item's longevity because I haven't had it for more then two weeks. Frankly, this light isn't very bright so if you actually want a "light," look for a different item. It could serve well as a night light but not much more. Chances are, that's not why this product got your attention or why you're reading reviews though... If you want a great novelty item that catches attention and genuinely mezmorizes folks, you found it. I've had this on my work desk for a little bit now ,and everyone who walks by stops and does a double take. First they think it's just spinning (from a distance) and then they realize it's hovering to. All are amazed and then the questions start. As a potential buyer, you need to know this product feels a little heavier and sturdier then you might expect. It has an ac adapter and the power cable is roughly 3-4 feet long (sorry for being in-exact but I'm home while I write this.) The power button on the base only turns off the light and the bulb will still hover / rotate. In a power outage or if the bulb is knocked out of alignment, the bulb will safely "clank"" down to the base with a sudden magnetic force. My light hovers about an inch and a half off the base and rotates fairly fast. Placing the bulb squarely to hover the first time will take a little bit of touch. You have to center it correctly at the right height ,but it's nothing you can't achieve in 5-10 trys. If you don't want people in your office, don't put this where anyone can see it because they'll be drawn to it. If you manage a team of employees, you should probably outlaw this item in your workplace as productivity will likely drop. Yeah, it's that cool. It is a bit pricier then I'd like ,and I hope the manufacturer will eventually offer this in different stains or a different material all together (to match more modern designs.) That said, this thing is absolutely awesome. It's one of my better purchases and if you can't tell by now, I really, really, really like it a lot. Highly recommended! Would be 5 stars but I haven't owned it long enough to tell how durable it is or how long it will last. Only complaint is the light could be brighter. Its good as a desk lamp but not as a main light in a room.. its also pretty easy to get floating and never falls on its own unless you bump it pretty hard.

I bought this for my dad and he really liked it. He keeps it next to him on his desk now so that's how I know how much he likes it. The light bulb does work and it does hover. I bought it a while ago now and it has never broken. I don't know how it works but my guess is magnets. When he opened his present he was pretty intrigued. It was actually the first thing he got out of the box after opening all his gifts. It was cute like a kid excited to see the toy out of the box. Once he set it up he had everyone in the house come and take a look at how it was actually hovering. So I do recommend this product very much not only because it works but because it put a smile on my dad's face.

Such a wonderful statement piece. Very modern and classy and impressive to both kids and adults. I was a little skeptical before buying, but I'm totally impressed. It's not meant to be a source of light by any means. It provides a soft glow akin to a candle.

You're like me, you're wondering if this is really worth the price.... I promise you it is. I had fairly high expectations for this lamp, and it exceeds all of them. No it does not give off a ton of light, it's as bright as my wax warmer, just bright enough to know it's there. It spins on its own! Nice and slow, at a good pace. Just enough spin for you to notice it and want to take a closer look. It comes well packaged, with a lovely thank you and a little gift inside. I hope this lamp lasts a long time, because I took a chance at the price, and totally feel it was worth it.
