Q: Is the bezel easy to take off?

I can also concur with the method that Steven has described, as I've done that with my Galaxy Watch4 when the bezel cover became too scratched. You'll always want to heat anything attached with adhesive up to make the adhesive tacky and malleable for easier removal. Also, I wouldn't advise you to follow Robin's method of prying it off with a butter knife or any other object as there's definitely more of a chance of damaging the watch itself.
