A lifter that doesn't feel like it's going to break or pull off when you use it. The handle is all aluminium and the suckers are a deep cup that gets an awesome vacuum to the subtrate, I use them to remove the fronts off concealed cisterns in washrooms etc where sometimes you are quite stretched over porcelain, and a heavy panel, where if it drops off the suckers its an expensive repair. Maybe not as lightweight as a plastic lifter, but gives you more confidence when using it.

Very solidly built and certainly does what it says on the tin... providing the surface you are lifting is very smooth. These things are designed to lift large pains of glass and therefore only really work if you're lifting something that uses a perfectly smooth surface - glass and metal works very well but wood not so well (unless it's highly polished).

I bought this hoping it would shift a pane of conservatory roof glass that had slipped, and is in a awkward place so couldn’t access from the outside. I used it to clamp on to it from inside and then shift the pane back into position. It clamped on really securely and stayed on while our beefiest family member pulled as hard as possible to slide it up into position. This worked a treat and has undoubtedly saved a stack of cash that I would have had to pay to get a tradesman in to do it. Buzzing!Now looking for other smooth things to move :)

Two were purchased to lift a 1m diameter reinforced glass well cover that sits within a patio. The glass cover weighs approximately 70kg, two people lifted it with ease and confidence. The Faithfull double suction pad lifter is solidly manufactured and has been used to lift the glass on a number of occasions without any issues.

Work for a glass company and this has the strongest suction power and does not slip. Very impressed so far.

I bought these as 'Used'. I advise playing with them on surfaces first so that you know how to engage them properly. I practised and found that if not pushed on and enagaged or if surfaces are dusty then the handles might slip.Yeah they seem obvious in use and application. But when you are lifting something very heavy you really don't want to wish you had practised.More, how much is your pain free back worth? I would guess a great deal more than a few suction handles.
