Only difficulty in fitting was that the metal trigger is stiffer and harder to manouver into place once you finally get the Dyson dissembled. But with a bit of perseverance you will succeed. The metal replacement trigger works perfectly and will not break like the original cheap plastic one.

Excellent!! So crazy that Dyson designs such a terrible switch for multi-hundred-dollar vacuums, but this replacement solves it! The replacement switch works perfectly, and does not bind as other reviewers had found. I did not have to modify the holes of the switch for the pivot points at all. Taking the vacuum apart is a significant undertaking. Watch the video and work slowly, step-by-step, and you should have no problem. A few points of advice: -have at least a 5” T8 Torx screwdriver. The first one I tried was just a bit too short to reach a troublesome screw. (For one, you have to come in at an angle and it must be long enough to avoid contacting the case. - unless I’m missing something, you MUST spread/bend the new switch just enough to get it over the posts. I used a retainer clip tool to gently expand near the base of the new switch, only just enough to get it over the two posts. Then, I gently squeezed to snug it back up. Check the switch at this point, before reassembling, to ensure it is securely on the posts and moves freely. For this step, the video was useless. They just show the switch magically jump right onto the vacuum assembly!!

Étant en métal cela devrait durer dans le temps. Comme quoi dyson ne mettent pas de la bonne volonté car pour une dizaines d’euros en plus on a un produit qui repart et sûrement dur dans le temps. On compte sur les non bricoleurs qui balancent le produit et rachètent. (Vive la société de consommation). Je recommande ce produit n’achetez pas en plastique qui casse en moins d’un an.
