I use these on the outside of our very old (1880) original wood doors, which like to warp and bend with temperature changes to the point where you cannot reliably close any of the doors in our house without them inching open suddenly the second there is a breeze. This was proving to be a problem for my 4 year old, who would ignore our warnings not to go into the art room and steal Mommy's many glorious, interesting and sparkly things. This easy to install and sturdy little latch not only makes the art room safe from little hands, but also keeps enquiring kitten paws out of my yarn. The look is very aesthetically pleasing and neutral.

I recently purchased this to secure storm door took me a little while to understand the concept once I did they were easy to put in and install. They work best on doors that push out it just catty corners into the corner to give a little extra support it truly does its job.They only flaw it has sometimes when you open it it flips and you have to backtrack your steps to be able to unlatch properly

Thin material with rough edges does not make this aesthetically pleasing.Functionally it works as advertised, but the mechanism feels loose and I question the long-term durability.

I purchased these to be able to lock sliding doors. My little 11 lb. cat can actually slide them open enough to go into rooms where I don't want her to. These door latches do the trick and look quite nice too.
