The black toner (202A) is the most-used toner that you'll need.
This is probably the most used toner for the M254 laser printer (ours is the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw). Our HP printer has been working for a couple decades now. The supplies are costly, but the results are professional. We collect the empties until we just have to recycle. We try to do our part.

perfect I always use HP versus no namebrand. It doesn’t inc bleed.

Update printer firmware if your printer thinks it's a "non-HP chip."
This cartridge has a chip in it that HP uses to validate that you paid full price for the real HP cartridge vs. other options. After a quick installation, my printer said "Indicated cartridges blocked for containing a non-HP chip" and I was unable to print. To address this, I updated the printer (an HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw) to its latest firmware using the installer available on the printer support page at hp.com. After doing this, the printer recognized the cartridge as an HP cartridge and I was able to print.
