Excellent piece of kit. My arthritic husband had an accidental fall out of bed. After the second time I ordered this equipment. He's not an elderly man but he struggles with health issues. He didn't like the idea of a bed guard but he finds it very good and wouldn't be without it now. It fits neatly under the mattress and it's not too intrusive. Not only has it prevented further falls he uses it to help him in and out of bed throughout the night. He keeps his phone in the pocket. It's a sturdy thing too. Definitely recommend, not major expensive either and I put it together in minutes. Very easy to position.

This is an excellent product. Having recently had hip replacement surgery, I needed help getting in and out of bed. It comes flat packed but is easy to assemble. The horizontal part fits under the mattress and is held in place by the mattress and my own weight. The upright has a soft grip handle and a convenient pocket for small items such as phone, tissues, TV remote etc. My bed has a pine frame with slats for the base which the mattress sits on top of. We had to move one of the slats so that the two legs both sit on top of the slats. There is a safety strap which I didn't use. It would easily sit on a divan base. I used it for about two weeks. During that time it was robust and comfortable to use.

The internet has lots of these types of rails. I ordered 2 different ones and they were absolutely shoddy. With one of them it was impossible to even get out of a single bed! I sent both back as they were really bad. I ordered this one and I find it really good, solid, good quality, and lovely colour in purple. It is a proper dream, works well, easy to get out of bed and strong. Thank you Amazon

It is a simple handrail, not intrusive. It feels firm, with a handy simple pocket, so we can slide some small items. But the most important it is portable, so we can take it with us for our holidays. Overall we are very pleased with it. Yes we recommend it.
