I love my Instant Pot. I bought one for myself years ago. We decided to take it to our vacation home. Sadly, we were robbed and it was stolen! I bought another one for our home, but ended up giving that to my son. I bought one for my daughter. I then bought another one for the house to replace the one that I gave to my son…and I just bought my 5th Instant Pot, this one to take back to our vacation home, because we use it SO much and for so many things, that it’s really indispensable. Nothing else works quite like it — and believe me, we’ve tried. So if you don’t have one, get one. You’ll be happy that you did. They’re wonderful for cooking rice, pasta, oatmeal, stews, meats. You can turn shoe leather into something delicious in an Instant Pot! Macaroni cooks in 4 minutes. Rice cooks in 7 minutes and it comes out perfect every time. Steel-cut oatmeal takes 12 minutes to cook and another 10 to rest…beats the daylights out of an overnight soak on the stove and then the stovetop mess of boiling it till done. And those are just things off the top of my head. There are apps with gazillions of recipes and cooking instructions available online. The pot is easy to clean — the inner pot and the top are dishwasher safe (read the instructions for cleaning), and best of all, it just works. Every single time. This makes a great gift for someone just setting up a new kitchen. It makes a great gift for anyone who doesn’t have one! We’ve been really happy with ours — and so have the folks we’ve given them to.

It's not just good, but a very good pressure cooker. Is very versatile and has lots of capabilities. However, I liked the non-stick insert of my previous pressure cooker more than this stainless steel one, though that's not the reason for taking off one star. I would have given it five stars but took off one star because it lacks visual details. Specifically, the markings of the arrow on the body and the lid of the cooker that help align the lid and the body when closing the cooker are black on black - impossible to see. I am attaching a picture of the body only. Try to spot the black arrow and the symbol of a lock. Instant Pot, please use a white on black arrow for the body, and a green/red arrow for open/close on the lid.

This thing is awesome, I've used it just about everyday since it arrived, it replaced my rice cooker, and crock pot, it does both freeing up more counter space, little tip in soup mode you can use it like a hotplate or electric mobile stovetop, perfect for college kids too, or more frugal people with available counter top space. At first it seems difficult to clean, but once you go through the steps it's a LOT easier then it seems, I do suggest reading the manual though. If you actually clean it after every use like it says, it keeps it super easy to clean as well.

The Amazing part is that I bought it when it was 50% off!! The 9-in-1 functions are not just a marketing claim — I’ve used it as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker and steamer. Everything turns out perfectly. Rice is fluffy and literally takes 15 minutes to cook I was amazed when I cooked the rice for the first time, and I love how I can sauté and pressure cook all in one pot without extra dishes. The 6-quart size is great for family meals, and the stainless steel inner pot feels durable and easy to clean. If you’re looking for something reliable, versatile, and genuinely helpful in the kitchen, this is it. The Instant Pot really is a lifesaver. Highly recommend!

Estaba por comprar una olla de cocción lenta cuando la instant pot se cruzó por mi búsqueda y después de leer bastante sobre ella en internet, decidí gastar un poco más de lo que tenía planeado y la compré. Y no me arrepiento! La olla es simplemente maravillosa, especialmente para alguien como yo, que trabajo fuera de casa y tengo marido y dos niños qué alimentar. No es que la instant pot sea más rápida que una olla de presión convencional, dado que como cualquier olla de presión, hay que esperar que alcance la presión adecuada, luego está el tiempo de cocción y después la despresurización para poder abrirla, pero la GRAN diferencia es que al poderse programar simplemente te olvidas de ella y no tienes que estar vigilando nada, lo cual para alguien con muchas actividades es una magnífica ayuda. Tiene muchas funciones (cocción a presión, cocción lenta, arroz, granos, vapor, salteado, yogurt, esterilizar, etc) y el instructivo viene en inglés, francés y español. Es muy sencilla de usar y de limpiar, además de ser increíblemente silenciosa. El recetario que contiene es muy pero muy básico, pero en internet encuentras un montón de recetas súper sencillas además de que en Amazon puedes encontrar recetas en libros y Ebooks a precios muy razonables. A un mes de haberla comprado ya cociné en ella arroz, pollo, vegetales, carne, avena, arroz con leche con resultados muy satisfactorios y muy fácil. Denle una oportunidad, de verdad la van a amar. Update: Después de usar la olla por 3 meses, sigo muy satisfecha con mi compra, se cocina super fácil en ella y sobretodo sin estar cuidando nada. Lo único en contra que le encuentro, es que el aro de empaque que trae la tapa guarda el olor de lo que cocinaste. No importa con qué los laves, va a guardar el olor. Aunque eso no es un problema para cocinar, pues no vas a querer preparar una avena o unas verduras si el empaque huele a pollo o carne. La solución que le veo es comprar uno o dos empaques de repuesto y usarlos para diferentes tipos de comida, tal vez uno para cosas dulces, otra para saladas y otro para lácteos.

This is hands down one of the best kitchen appliances I’ve ever owned. It’s incredibly versatile with loads of functions. the one i use the most is sous vide and it always works perfectly, The cleanup is also a breeze. Every meal I’ve made so far has turned out perfectly.
