I bought this rod to pair with the kaatking kestrel reel for bfs fishing and i couldn't be happier. Great action and strength. I've already caught several pan fish and large mouth with it. I highly recommend it for an ultralight pole. The quality and finish is something you'd expect from a rod 2-3 times as expensive so great value for you money. When paired with kastkings kestrel reel it's a perfect fit and pro level of performance.

I’ve fished two KK rods. They are good. Lately the last 6 months I’ve used one or the other every day. I had to repair the tip on one of them. My fault. I would buy again.

Amazing rod, the 5’9 FL handles big fish PERFECTLY. Only thing I can really pick at is where the rod connects with it being a two piece it’ll sometimes slip apart, minus that the sensitivity is great and feels really high quality 👍

I caught a 3.05 lb & 2.6 lb Bass in a little over an hour in heavy cover using the 3 piece rod. I had this bad idea to make a BFS setup and then use it for Finesse Frogging setup with 8 pound KastKing braid. This Rod let me cast it a long ways, but also accurately. It has a great amount of back bone and sensitivity. It was able to horse both fish out of heavy cover and flip them up and over brush. That’s pretty demanding for a light rated 3 piece which speaks to its durability. I have zero complaints about its action and it has proven extremely versatile. It is also very light so I felt zero fatigue after an hour. I’ve bought a lot of rods over the years and a fair number of BFS rods recently and this is probably my favorite so far.

Nice rod for bass and panfish. You can throw 1/64th ounce lures with 4 pound line.. I like the action I would say fast. It is somewhat flexible seems very durable. Should be good for up to 5 pound bass with 6 to 8 pound line.

Pole arrived in good shape . First time out on the second small crappie, the pole broke about 8” from the end. It must have been manufactured with a weak spot. Buy a rod you can put your hands n and from a reputable maker. Update: the manufacturer emailed me about my experience and offered to make it right. New pole was here two days later. This is exceptional customer service.

2nd one I own after the first one broke on a hook set. This one just broke today after two months. I think I’m done with this rod. Edit: I did get a refund from kk. Good customer service, bumping to 3 stars
