I ordered this with some skepticism after reading reviews about inconsistency with fit. I have owned many Fujifilm lenses and several lens hoods of this type, both Fuji OEM and third party. I'll concede I may have gotten lucky but it's a perfect fit. Not too snug and not too loose. Pros: • It's solid and well made. • Perfect fit (in my case anyway) • More sensible design than shade that came with my 23mm 1.4 WR • Less intimidating for subjects than the petal hood that comes with the lens. • Looks nice • Nearly half the price of the Fujifilm Cons: • Overly prominent white brand label (I may just cover the label with black gaffers tape.) • Cap can be a little fiddly but once in place, it stays (unlike the Fuji OEM hood cap on my 35mm 1.4) Caveat emptor: Read other reviews as some folks have complained of hoods that are too tight. I suspect it is just a consistency issue in manufacturing. If it doesn't fit well you can always return it and try another but I think it's worth a try.

My lenses come with lens hoods; however, I love the way square lens hoods look and have them on all three of my Fuji lenses. They are made of metal and feel sturdier and well made than the plastic ones. The lens cap fits tightly to protect the lens. Overall, I think it cools cooler and more nostalgic. I would definitely buy more as I add lenses.

I put this on my 56mm Fuji lens, which already had a Hoya filter attached. It did go on, but it's a super tight fit and I had to use more pressure to get it on than I'd like to have. Once on, it looks great, seems well-made, and popping the cap on and off is easy. Definitely does it's job shading and protecting the lens and does not get in the field of view. I'm just not looking forward to the next time I want to temporarily switch to a different filter.

Great hood. Solid construction and looks great. Fits the 27mm TTartisan lens.

The copy I have was not threaded correctly so I could not screw the hood on to the lens. If I had, I would have ruined my lenses filter thread. I waited to long to return so mine went into the trash. All of the other products from JCC that I have purchased were great, not this one.

Excellent square hood at a reasonable price. Compared to the original Fujifilm lens hood, expected it to be a bit deeper, but it appears to be sufficiently deep to do its job and provide additional security for the lens when carrying it. Very happy and can recommend it.
