Nice Turtle Kit!
These kits are cute, and it's great to have everything in one kit. I ordered this to share with a younger relative who wants to learn to crochet so I can help her to learn.I will say: I think the best way to learn crochet is through a square or rectangle. Start with a dishcloth, then try a scarf. Amigurumi (making little projects like stuffed animals) can be wonderful after the basics are learned. Of course, everyone is different so you may start with this and be just fine I think it's a great 3rd project or so.This comes with stuffing (poly), an ergonomic hook, stitch markers to help you keep track (use them! they will help you count better!), good instructions, and yarn. My only complaint about this pack is that the yarn is a little more teal than green. I prefer a green that's more like the green you see on the bag in the 4th photo. I wish the yarn colors had matched better, but that's my own picky taste.Super-cute pattern: reminds me of Yertl the Turtle! I'm glad I ordered this and look forward to sharing it with my relative as she learns the craft I love!

Video is no longer available
The link provided sends you to a video that is no longer available. Without the video, you just have useless yarn.

Just So-So
I expected this to be very easy, with great great directions and explanations. It did not live up to my expectations, but I am in extreme beginner. I don’t think this is for beginners, you have to know something about the different stitches in order to do this. In my opinion.

Not great for absolute beginners
I bought this because I want to learn a new skill and crochet has interested me for a long time.I spent two hours just trying to get the “magic ring” going and realized the yarn this comes with is terrible and the hook is not the right size. Definitely don’t recommend this.

Cute set might be a bit complex for beginners
I was excited to receive this cute stuffed animal crochet kit. The packaging is small and everything is well packed, but it was hard to get everything out of the bag and to put the material back in. Its not a great bag for storing incomplete projects. The yarn it comes with seems very good for use by beginners as it will be easy to see the stitches and there won’t be too much fuzz. The kit came with a booklet explaining basic stitches accompanied by pictures, which is nice to help you understand what the abbreviations in the pattern mean. Unfortunately the link that is supposed to lead to a video tutorial is no longer active. A QR code would be a better way to go in future versions of this product. The pattern was easy enough for experienced crocheters to follow, but there are some typos. The kit comes with everything needed to make the toy and has relatively clear instructions. I think with some trial and error people will be able to figure out how to make it.

Slow and steady wins the race!
How adorable is this turtle?? I hadn't seen pattern quite as cute as this one so I had to order this kit. I'm still a beginner so I like the small, easy projects. The simple details on this made it more interesting than others I've tried. I agree with the manufacturer. They help with concentration and coordination, including in older adults such as myself. The kit comes packaged in a sturdy zip lock bag that makes a good gift (for yourself, too!). Everything is included: yarn, crochet hook, nifty stitch markers, eyes, stuffing, etc. It is easy to take along on the go, or to tuck away when you take a break. The only thing missing was a scissors. I bought an extra one at the dollar store to keep with the kit while I was working on it.The pattern is a little more challenging and takes a little longer than some toys but the end result looks more professional. If I could do this, anyone can! The instruction guide is clear on its one, but I relied on the videos. One hint on these: I clicked on the settings wheel and played them on super slow. I'm not a coordinated person so it took a few tries. The videos are exceptionally clear and easy to follow. Be sure and practice on test yarn to begin with. It is thinner than regular yarn by design. Amigurumi toys have smaller stitches to keep the stuffing in.This kit is one of the most fun and satisfying ones I've done so far! It took a few evenings but slow and steady wins the race!
