Why did you choose this product over others?: I used this kit to fix a sagging cabinet door in my salon. The stainless steel plates are sturdy and blend seamlessly with the wood. Brilliant solution to fixing cupboard doors which have pulled out and damaged original screw holes. Really good. One small niggle: screws supplied work fine to secure plates to cupboard walls and doors but strip when used to attach hinges to plates (smaller holes). You need other, tougher, screws to attach hinges. Drill supplied to open up holes is smaller than original holes and therefore is of no use.

Fixed so many things in my house. Table, cupboards, etc. The extra drill bit in the package is icing on the cake. You just need to use your presence of mind and plan if your plan doesn’t go well. Instructions are pretty simple.

Back to having a study door

The repair plates fit really well and can help reattach hinges to a badly damaged door and cabinet creating a sturdy repair. But the supplied self tapping screws are not of the required quality and are liable to strip their threads when being driven into the small holes on the plate. I needed to obtain some better quality ones from a local hardware store to complete the repair.
