bought brand name,had buy extra wall fitting as advised by plumber,expensive but better so far than cheaper brands.early days not long fitted.

Very happy with the rail and shower head ,easy to install, however very disappointed the actual hose is a silver coloured plastic one ,really looks cheap ,ànd for the money not great value ,bought a cheap stainless steel replacement though .

We were looking for a multi setting replacement for our existing hand shower head. Pressure is pretty reasonable from a whole house 2.5bar pump and the existing head gives a good shower, plenty of pressure but fancied something with an intense/ Massage setting. Having spent quite some time looking at everything on offer we opted for the Grohe New Tempesta Cosmopolitan 100 , 4 setting handset 27575002. On initial fitting you will probably find the thread on the handle is slightly too short to compress the rubber seal on a standard flexi pipe, so water will pour out of this joint. All it needs is an additional rubber seal on the pipe fitting for a water tight seal, but Grohe don't even include a seal at all, which is poor I think. The description on amazon says the handset is brass but this is not true, its all plastic. This isnt necessarily a bad thing as the handset is very light, but it is misleading. So, initial try out. The first setting raino2, gave a fairly lacklustre spray, not as powerful as the old handset but spray was quite "soft" due to air being drawn into spray. The second setting, rain was even less impressive and seemed to have less pressure than the first. The third setting, "Jet" gives 8, thin powerful streams which some might find rather aggressive. The 4th setting "Massage" is supposed to be "a pulsating spray pattern for a stimulating massage". I can only describe this as pretty dismal, no pressure, coarse globs of water, no discernible pulsating. if the handset is mounted on a riser, at an angle then this spray pattern would only reach out less than 40cm horizontally. Grohe claim this shower head can deliver 2.5gall or 9.5l/min which should be fine although when I tested the delivery, the old shower head delivered 12l/min but the Grohe handset only delivered 5.6l/m, which explains why the performance was poor. Several people have said to remove the flow restrictor to improve things but even without the flow limiter the Grohe handset still only delivered less than 6l/m so they must have used a very high pressure pump to achieve the figures they quote. so, overall, the finish is fine, although it isn't brass but plastic. its quite stylish, the male thread to connect the pipe is too short. The shower experience on 3 of the settings, with a decent pumped supply was quite poor no doubt due to the limited flow rate, even without the restrictor. Its not as good as the much cheaper handset it was intended to replace so its going to be returned.

The shower head looks good and the pole is metal not plastic. But the angle of the head in the holder is fixed in an almost vertical position which is poor for this price. As other have mentioned the pipe is plastic and not even chrome silver coloured as expected but just a matt silver grey. Can be better product for half the price.

Quando nel 1995 ho arredato casa mia in vista del matrimonio, in fatto di rubinetteria non abbiamo avuto dubbi, volevamo un marchio che fosse anche sinonimo di garanzia e l'allora relativamente nuova Grohe, reduce da pochi anni della separazione dal marchio originale nato nel 1911, sembrava coniugare finalmente elevata qualità a prezzi più accettabili rispetto al passato grazie all'utilizzo di materiali a volte meno costosi ma comunque affidabili, seppure per alcune scelte (ad esempio le filettature per i raccordi) fosse comunque rimasta fedele a standard molto personali. Sebbene nella mia installazione del 1995 tutte le parti fossero in metallo cromato, già all'epoca mi aveva stupito la struttura in policarbonato, anch'essa però cromata del soffione della doccia. Onestamente dubitavo della futura durata di tale componente e soprattutto della cromatura su plastica ma devo ammettere che il tempo mi ha smentito, ho infatti dovuto sostituire tale elemento solamente nel 2014, ben 18 anni dopo, oltretutto senza alcun problema relativo alla verniciatura specchiata, ma semplicemente a causa del troppo calcare che ormai internamente aveva otturato buona parte dei fori di uscita dell'acqua. Ho qusostituito tale componente con un più economico soffione di altra marca, ma ahimè è durato solo un paio di anni, guastandosi quasi subito il meccanismo di selezione del getto differenziato ed è così che quando mi è stato proposto di testare la nuova Grohe 27572002 Manopola Doccia a 3 Getti modello Tempesta, non mi sono certo tirato indietro. La ho montata in pochi secondi sul saliscendi originale e la sua leggerezza è stata subito perfetta anche per evitare inopportune rotazioni del raccordo, inoltre la giusta inclinazione della testa erogatrice consente una perfetta regolazione del soffione quando sistemato sul supporto. Esistono diverse versioni prodotte da Grohe, per la linea Tempesta sia in base al numero di getti disponibili sia per il diverso design dello stesso oggetto, ma la forbice di prezzi rimane comunque piuttosto accessibile, come ho detto i materiali utilizzati non appesantiscono le strutture ma soprattutto non incidono sul listino e a dispetto della scarsa stima che si ha per la plastica posso assicurarvi che i polimeri usati da Groihe sono veramente duraturi. Il modello da me utilizzato ha 3 tipologie di getto, tutte molto diversificate e comunque precise, non ci sono ugelli irregolari con getti anomali, personalmente amo molto la Rain O2 che arricchisce il flusso di ossigeno e sembra frizzare sulla pelle, mia moglie invece ama maggiormente la modalità Massaggio che trova particolarmente gratificante sulle spalle, gusti personali ovviamente ma sono sicuro che se anche voi la proverete ne rimarrete soddisfatti. Consiglio da sempre questo marchio e continuerò a consigliarlo, i prodotti sono garantiti e anche dopo 20 anni le parti di ricambio sono sempre facilmente reperibili e questo è per me un valore aggiunto impagabile.
