So I’ve trained in hairdressing and used many different bleaching powders , been blonding for about 15 years so I’ve had every experience you can imagine with bleaching hair . This stuff is the best , lifts more levels , keeps your hair in (relatively) good condition, Has a blue tone . I have dark brown hair naturally and I can lift mine in 45 mins ,20 vol peroxide to platinum blonde…. With Revlon nutri colour cream in intense platinum to tone ( yes I’m dead serious) Any hairdresser that wants to lift you in stages just wants more money and time out of you :/ Here is a great tip for lifting bleach : 1.Plaster you hair in the product ( don’t be stingy you want full saturation not a patchy mess ) 2. Cover hair in cling film( all over) / foils on highlights ( bleach doesn’t work if it’s dried out and crispy! Keep it moist and covered) 3. It’ll bubble and “rise” it’s normal ! You are basically a muffin baking away at this point 4. Skip the heat , your head heat will trap in your cling film and help it lift naturally, heaters just dry bleach out and damage your hair further. 5. Don’t exceed 50 mins with 20 vol bleach on scalp, you want a pale yellow ( check the colour by pressing gently on the cling film) 6 . 20 vol peroxide on scalp! !( yes any higher and you will burn your scalp so don’t unless you wana head full of scabs , 30 vol off scalp…. Dont touch 40 vol unless it’s African , Indian or Asian hair that’s hard to lift . Many hairdressers seem to get bleach wrong and heat it , dry it out , use too high peroxide ect and end up with orange under processed hair that needs more time spent correcting . Do it right the first time round :)

My hair is naturally a level 4 and I managed to lift my hair to a level 9 with very little damage. After this I toned my hair with Blondme pastel toner in shade Sand to cancel out the yellow. A great result 👍🏻
