Quality antenna with clear reception at a reasonable price
This works great and is so simple to hook up to the TV coax cable port. It comes in amazingly clear. We have put it on several of our TVs and got rid of one of our more expensive streaming services. Antenna doesn't mean 3-4 channels as there are over 50 channels we get here. We aren't missing our old service and the price we were paying for it.

Mohu Leaf HD Antenna WORKS.
Was nervous to get this Mohu Leaf HD Antenna, but glad to say it gets me the local channels I want. Had YoutubeTV for cable for a couple years and it worked great, but they recently jacked up the price by +$10 a month. Starting to get as expensive as cable when I used to have DirecTV. I finally had enough and just wanted to get CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX to watch the big live sports events. People need to realize they're at the mercy of their location when getting one of these. My ABC affiliate is 60 miles away, but the range of this antenna is only 40 miles. Dumb luck that I'm close to an ABC affiliate in another state and my TV picks that signal up instead. Most of signals were steady, but I think there may be issues if it's very cloudy or there's a serious storm, but I can't do much about that. I'll miss stuff like DVR and some random cable channels I used to watch, but the bottom line is I'll be saving about $1,000 a year, while still being able to watch the big important games. Edit: After using for a few months I haven’t regretted my purchase. The biggest “issue” I’ve had is on windy days. My house is surrounded by trees and branches. When the air is still, the signal goes through/around branches with no issues. But when it’s windy, the waving branches do disrupt the signal from time to time.

Expensive necessity completing cord-cutting dvr
I took off one star for the price, but the Mohu Gateway Plus performs well and has an appealing look. It was the final component we needed to upgrade and aging over-the-air DVR setup my family put together before 2020. It helped us receive the Big Four networks in my area with improved digital reception, along with over 290+ other channels at the time. Prior to 2020, we primarily used an Amazon Recast, which I am informed will no longer be supported as of 2026. It still works, but has been has been struggling with signal errors on recordings, etc despite my initial efforts to fix that. I ended up slowing upgrading all of the home DVR equipment, getting a TP-Link router and Tablo 4-Tuner DVR. Because of the expenses, I tried to be budget friendly and went with a Philips rabbit ear antenna unit to complete the system, which didn't work out. I replaced the latter with this unit and it worked great right off the bat. With the enclosed (and thicker) cable, I was able to place the antenna in a skylight of my home. What's great is that the Gateway Plus also features 4 LED's in the front that display signal strength on a scale of 1 to 4, which makes installation fast and in real time. In it's current place, and a clear line to Mount Wilson, it has been receiving a constant signal strength of 3 out of 4 since the purchase in mid September 2025. My family's OTA (over-the-air) dvr system now receives over 244 channels digitally, including the formerly missing ABC and Fox networks. I'm okay with the fluctuation of -50 channels from the start as long as the primary lineup keeps us connected to major local news broadcasts. While transitioning equipment, we appreciate the smooth and stable 1080i picture from the uninterrupted reception from this amplified antenna. Performance wise, I recommend this unit as well as for the aestheics of it's look. I do not like the feel of the type of plastic used in it's construction, it feels brittle, and care should be taken when mounting it high or in a place where it'd get direct sunlight (hence the pages of paper behind it in one of my pictures.) I feel it could break with a small fall. I hope this review helps. Thank you for reading!

Just did not work for me
Sorry - it did not work for me. I must say item may have been defective. However, on first floor moving item in several different directions and heights in the room , was only able to get at most two of the lights on the item to light up and could not bring in any channels. On the second floor, was able to get there lights at highest point in room, but could only get a few channels to come in and those were buffering all the time on a clear sunny day. A Clearstream Eclipse, several years old, pulls in more channels. I was looking for an upgrade, so was diissapointed and returned the item. - FYI i live in a first ring suburb, within 30 miles of the major transmitters.

Looks and works great
This antenna looks great and works well. I tried a cigar shaped vertical antenna that did not pull in as many stations as this one. It is worth the extra money. It is curved up and down and comes with a detachable stand.

More expensive, but well worth the cost
I purchased this more expensive antenna after using a budget priced one for just a few weeks. With the less expensive one, I could receive only 21 channels. Unfortunately, due to the location of the transmission tower of my local network affiliates, 2 of the major networks were not among them. After more research, I decided to try the Mohu Leaf amplified, even though it was considerably more expensive. I am glad I did. The installation took only a few minutes, and after I plugged it and the amplifier into my TV, I was able to watch 47 channels, all of them crystal clear. So for less than the price of a month's cable bill, I can enjoy all the major broadcast networks for free. I have never been happier with a purchase.

Great cable TV alternative
Easy to set up, and I'm no technician. Found 40 channels during initial set up - picture quality is good to excellent. A real cable buster!

Aerial connection not compatible with UK TV so I cannot plug it into my TV. It seems I shall have to return it.
