My kids LOVE playing math games with these cards
I am so glad I spent the money on these cards. Yes, they are pricey, but they are high-quality, and my kids LOVE playing with them. Our homeschool math curriculum (Math with Confidence) has a lot of math card games included in the lessons. The curriculum calls for ordinary playing cards, but using these cards really enhances the experience for my kids. It has been easy to adapt these cards to every card game our math curriculum has recommended. I have not actually tried any of the games included in the Wild Side cards, because the ones in our math curriculum are perfectly tailored to what my kids are currently learning. Eventually, we will try the games included in the Wild Side cards, and I am sure my kids will like those ones too.The main thing that sets these cards apart is the quality. They are beautiful, and pleasant to handle, and the wild cards are just so well-done and cute. My kids each have their favorite wilds and get excited when they end up with them.My kids are 6 and 9, so they already have pretty good number sense, but even so, the multiple ways shown of expressing each numbers has been helpful. My 6-year-old is learning to add and subtract numbers over 10, and he often uses the 10-frames on the cards to visualize the problems and see how the numbers fit together. I can see these cards being helpful for much younger kids too, who are just learning to recognize numbers and understand what they mean. That said, my 9-year-old is getting just as much use from them as her younger brother. Both my kids math skills have improved so much in the month or so we have had these cards, and the Math with Confidence curriculum. I credit all of that to the fact that they will happily play math games every day and get lots of practice, and are actually enjoying math, instead of fighting me because it is "boring".

You’ll love the these cards!!! A ‘must have’ for teaching Number Sense!
These Number Sense Cards are a ‘ must have” for every classroom! They are also a super fun activity for parents to use at home to give the student a deeper understanding of how math works- all while having fun! Number Sense is an essential foundation necessary for learning and understanding how numbers work at a basic level!! And, THESE CARDS NAILED IT!! 50 + games for students to learn all needed number sense skills- all in one deck of cards! As a recently retired school teacher and math tutor of 28 years I know the value of having all these skills put into games that effortlessly teach number sense. I used to spend hours making ten frames, number lines , my own games and manipulatives to teach basic number sense. I wish I had these cards at the beginning of my career. The students would have loved it ! I would love the ease of getting them out to target a specific “Number Sense” skill, and then again to reinforce that skill when I have 20 minutes to fill before recess!! I now substitute, and hope to get a set of 14 decks so that all students can be paired up and engaged easily!I highly recommend these cards for all students, preschool through 8th grade, as well as special education classrooms at every level!Brilliant! Simply Brilliant!Toni Zundel BoyerTeacher, Author, and creator of student learning materials

Great tool for small groups in SPEd
I have been pleasantly surprised at how useful these cards are for my elementary students in special education. The kids love the cards and beg me to play games with them. The visuals on the card are super supportive. For example, kids who have struggled with the idea of subtraction for years suddenly get it when they are able to try multiple models on each problem because of the dots, lines, and tallies on each one. The booklet of game suggestions is helpful and well-organized. It includes game suggestions that are appropriate for preschool through middle school. My only suggestion for improvement is that the cards are a little too big. Something closer to standard card deck size would be easier for elementary students to hold and manipulate.

Great for these middle schoolers!
This set is great for building math confidence! The cards are beautifully designed, and thegames are a super fun way to practice various math skills. We play a lot of games as anextended family, so I bought them to sneak in a little math practice with my two nephews whohave a bit of anxiety about math. We have played most of the upper-level games that providepractice in comparing fractions, factors, area and perimeter, using a coordinate grid andoperations with integers, to name a few! These cards have been so helpful in that they arepracticing math skills without even thinking of it as math!

Math games for all levels
I love the Wild Side Number Sense cards! I appreciate that each card gives ten frame, tally, number, number line, and finger equivalents. I have used the game with my middle school students and my preschool daughter. The game comes with a booklet that has a variety of games that can be played at various grade levels and across number sense standards (PEMDAS, fractions). We like the size and feel of the cards and the artistry of the wild cards. Highly recommend!

Fun games! My grandkids love this set!
I play a lot of games with my grandkids when they are over. They are ages six (twins) and 9. This set is great, and the kids love them! There is a huge variety of games for all ages. The little ones use the visuals on the cards to count in some games. They love using the wild cards to be strategic and try to win. :) We have played several of the games, but there are still a lot of we haven't played yet. We will get a lot of use out of these!
