Fujifilm Fujinon Teleconverter XF1.4x Weather Resistant Lens

It took a while before I took the plunge for this lovely piece of glass. I have a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AFS which is one very lovely lens which delivers stunning sharpness but I have steadily been selling off my Nikon stuff to finance my move to Fuji. On Saturday I used this lens at a wedding and the results were stunning and as good as my Nikon with really nice BOKEH. It's a lot of money but the build and results are worth it. On the day I used this, the 16 f1.4 and the 10-24 and they covered everything. This is a keeper.

Great piece of equipment to add to my camera. It’s not bulky and easy to carry and doesn’t add much additional weight to the lens. Tried it out this morning and very pleased with it. The photos are out my back door and the images are really clear, so I’m very pleased.

A fantastic zoom lens for the FujiFilm XT4 and earlier. The building optical stabilisation is useful for hand held shots, and colour replication is excellent. Build quality is good, but the floating optical stabilisation thugs around while being transported.

WOW.Stunning. I have been pursuing photography for around 8 years and recently switched from Sony to Fuji X. I have never owned what I would call a pro lens before and I had some trepidation when spending so much on a single camera lens. What a difference a constant f 2.8 telephoto has made to my photography. Have done a couple of theatre shoots where the lighting was not great and this lens combined with the Fuji XT1 produced some amazing images. When taking portrait shots the bokeh and compression this lens gives really makes photos pop. This will take your photography to the next level. I would not hesitate now. Buy it! You won't regret it.

I recently got hold of a Fuji 50-140mm zoom which is a fantastic lens but not especially long at the top end of the focal range, so it's a perfect candidate for the 1.4xTC. I did quite a bit of research beforehand and the 1.4xTC seems to be almost universally regarded as one of the best (if not the best) TCs made by any manufacturer. It's literally not been off my 50-140 lens since taking it out of the box. On this lens, it will give you a focal range of 70mm-196mm which is a pretty decent improvement. As the Fuji X-T2 I'm using it with is a crop sensor body, that's about 100mm-300mm in full frame terms. You lose a stop of light with the 1.4xTC, so my maximum aperture with the 50-140 of f/2.8 becomes f/4, etc. This isn't really a problem and there's very little loss in image quality...the extended focal range more than makes up for any small IQ loss. It's made of the same materials as the lenses and is very light, so won't add much weight to a potentially already heavy lens. The attached image of the moon was taken at 140mm with the 1.4xTC and then slightly cropped, so effectively about 300mm. A really usable focal length, and you can even get some half decent wildlife shots with it.

I own a few amazing XF lenses and needed this one for motorsport photography. The OIS works really well and it focusses very fast. Image quality is overall good but I would describe the bokeh as nervous and not as nice as some other Fuji glass like the awesome 90mm F2.

Pro Lens means that you have all the controls needed for manual shots and the focus is fast in auto and the picture has high resolution and sharp edges. Great for sport shots but it is a bit heavy at times. Happy with the quality produced.

Funciona na perfeição, só não tem tanto zoom como era esperado mas isso não é culpa da lente e sim daquilo que era a percepção errada que tinha. Mas sim, é de boa qualidade.

È sicuramente uno dei migliori Teleconverter in circolazione ed è costruito anche ad hoc, leggero, tropicalizzato e soprattutto performante. Inizialmente nutrivo qualche dubbio sulla resa finale dei fotogrammi perché come è noto i TC un po degradano il dettaglio ma con stupore, montato sul mio xf 50-140mm f2.8, non ho notato particolari decadimenti o meglio; c'è un leggerissimo decadimento del fotogramma specie a TA che tutto sommato lo si nota solamente ingrandendo al 100% per quanto riguarda l'Autofocus invece ed in particolare quando usiamo la modalità AF-C, a mio avviso risulta qualche istante più lento e indeciso, lo si può notare quando vogliamo cambiare repentinamente un soggetto da mettere a fuoco, rimango cmq dell'idea che questi piccoli dettagli negativi non meritano nota di rilievo. Altra cosa da segnalare sappiate che perdete uno Stop, il vostro bel f2.8 diventa un f4. Il prezzo è ancora abbastanza elevato secondo me anche se viene ripagato dall'ottima resa. Non so dire se montato su altre lenti Fuji la resa è performante di sicuro lo è con il 50-140mm f2.8. Mi sento di consigliare questo TC 1.4x Fuji al contrario sconsiglio vivamente il TC 2X.

Built quality , picture quality , both are amazing. Weight approx 1000gm is ok for the quality and price. It’s not too heavy. I love the lens ,focusing is instant, sharp all the way from 50-140 mm even at 2.8. Must buy if you can afford.

Ich nutze den Konverter am Fujifilm xf 50-140 mit großer Begeisterung. Die Bilder sind scharf. Zum Verständnis: ich bin Berufsfotograf und weiß, was scharf bedeutet. Ich war vor dem Kauf sehr skeptisch, musste meine vorgefasste Meinung, dass der Konverter die optische Qualität des genannten Objektivs DEUTLICH verschlechtert, aber als völlig haltlos revidieren. Daher klare Empfehlung!
